aw baby
If you like Marvel–and I know you play it–it’s probably the biggest gathering of Marvel players north of Cali, and west of NYC. Did you feel it was worth the trip last time you were here in March? School’s out for most people, so I’d expect the turnout to be a little higher this evening. Plus, Zach’s a terrific host.
People who show up late (after 9PM) and people who show up just to watch the tournament should be shot. You’re there, you play fighting games, it’s only $5. I’m unemployed and I play. Do you know how many people would kill for a shot at playing against high caliber comp like this. Ungrateful bastards. If everyone there entered, we might even exceed 30 on some nights.
well what do ya know, my roommate and I live off of West lake sammamish
Cool. If you need a ride, hook me up with an address. On the topic, however, I still don’t have the address for the actual event.
Reread the first post in the thread, specifically the part about “I live…”.
Thanks, didn’t notice that part before.
Me, Law, and SamY will come down if a 4th person comes with us. Gas is 2 expensive. peace
yup you guys should grab a 4th, cause the competition is prolly gonna be there this time.
I live in Redmond too if you need people to play VF5 with.
What’s up with the gameage and Redmond? I think the GG heads are up there too for the most part.
I’m not entirely sure what you mean by “gameage,” but I assume the correct answer to your question is that Redmond has Microsoft, Nintendo, and DigiPen Institute of Technology, all right in the same area. Because of that, we have a large number of people with jobs involving games. And yes, there are a lot of Guilty Gear players here as well. Also, a lot of serious Smash Bros. players at DigiPen, even though the game was never intended to be a serious competitive game.
Gameage=word for gaming. Don’t know if you caught my post at VFDC, but you didn’t need to register, if you didn’t want. Sorry about that :embarrassed:
Of course you might meet more potential VF players here than at VFDC, for some odd reason.
Smash is just sad but whatever, I’m not getting into that.
Anyway, I assume the times from the first post are still accurate, and nine o’clock is still the start time. If that’s the case, then I’ll show up around that time. I actually tend to try to get to sleep early, so I’ll probably be leaving around 11:00-ish.
Aw damn, I’ll just be on my way by 11ish…
There’s always next time.
11pm? That party is just getting started at 2am, becuase shit is serious.
I can try to stay longer, but I tend to wake up early whether I want to or not during the summer. Stupid planet, with its tilted axis and advanced real-time weather effects.
Planning on being there to kill all your faces in Marvel and poker.
Hey and hopefully Mandel doesn’t read this but if any of you guys play Guilty Gear we should do that yeah!
How bout some Settlers of Catan or Chess before the tournaments? I’ll try to get there by 8pm. If anyone is interested I’ll have the Amazing Labyrinth in my car since I’m gonna pick it up to make an Xbox/PC version for fun (scanner + board game = free textures). It’s a pretty good Euro board game that’s easy to get into and real fun.
Yo yo yo. PDX is coming up. Lawrence, SamB, Jetay, and myself. That’s enough to make ST interesting. But more importantly, call them marvel players. Mandel, Nolan, and Evan are tight and all, but it’d be cool if Cody, Row, Jmar, etc. were there too. Call 'em up and tell them to come. Anyway, we’ll probably be there around 9. We’ll call on the way up to let you guys know. See y’all tonight!

Sweet, summer is starting off in grand fashion.
