I’m sad that nobody forced me to buy Catan for XBL. I love that game. I’ll get it when I get home.
I can’t find 360 Elites anywhere, dammit.
Why is that stick on my counter again? What part/tool is needed to get that usable again?

Is that the grey box stick? I sort of like the joystick in that thing, but did not know who it belonged to.
So, I’ll be off late on Friday:tdown: but I’ll see if I can leave early…
I posted about it but I’m never online when you are so I haven’t invited you. It’s a pretty good version and they have a skin pack with the original board game art.
yes we need to play catan. I just got finished playing at work haha
Sorry to squat on your real estate, that stick is mine. Kyle was supposed to fix it. Then Julian took a shot, and got it working. Then he did something and the buttons weren’t inputting. Then he brought it back last poker night because he wasn’t able to figure out what went wrong. Julian told Kyle what was wrong with it, and Kyle was going to take it home with him. But, he forgot. Man, there’s some history. Welcome to as the stick turns.
I should just get a MAS, especially since none of those homemade that I’ve invested in have ever really worked right. But since I’ve spent nearly $300 on various sticks and replacement parts over the last 1.5 years, I feel spending more money on a stick would be morally objectionable. Not being able to practice is depressing, since my game has been stagnant. I’m not getting better. Oh, and I lost to Geif at the last tournament (no offense to Brian).
Hell, I’d love to play ft50 for $1, just to get the practice. But I don’t have a stick.
Yeah you should buy a stick. Training mode is your friend.
What’s f-150?
And Keith, did the start button on the stick you gave me EVER work? Cus right now, both the start and select buttons (the ones on the bottom?) were completely un-hooked up. This weekend I’m going to get it in shape hopefully.
Oh yeah, and somehow the guy daisy chained the common ground wrongly too, I will have to figure out how to re-do it, but I have plenty of time. I have the same problem too of not having a good stick to practice on (yet) cus I’m sitting on two broken sticks until I fix them, the stick you gave me (grey one) and an agetec modded for PS2 that has THE WORST WIRING YOU’VE EVER SEEN. He makes the guy who did you sticks look like fucking PICASSO, instead of soldering the two wires together, he wound the ends, hotglued them and then TAPED over it. OMFG it’s grimy in there until I re-do it…
I live by those words! When you have your own arcade stick…Your own training room! BOO YAH!
Typo, meant to be ft50. In reference to the recent escapades of dann and Brian Ma.
I think the granite man stick’s start and select used to work, but I hated the parts. So I bought new parts, and had the same guy who wired my other sticks put them in. He claimed that the PCB was f’ed, and the start and select haven’t worked since. Still, the parts are basically brand new, since I never really played on that stick after getting it back. Cannibalize it.
Damn… do you need some help figuring that stick out or something? I’ve been working on a crapload of PCBs as of late, and at this point, I don’t think there’s a problem I haven’t noticed with those PCBs. Get yourself a hacked pad. I guarantee you it’s safer than what you’re using right now.
I have NO fucking clue what is going on with this stick, so I’m gonna rewire it completely. For one, the bent prong on the happ buttons, that’s the common ground, the one you’re supposed to chain together to each button right? Well this guy wired it so that the always on prong is the one daisy chained together. Plus it looks like he uses random telephone wire and whatever ghetto ass scraps he can come up with…
But I got my Dreamcast agetec stick modded for ps2 in the mail and it works. It has one fucken annoying “feature” which is it presses the start button like turbo buttons (rapid fire start button) until you press it again, then you can press it like a regular start button…once. Have no idea how to remove that fun “feature” the guy I bought it from on ebay says it’s in the PCB?
Anyways I also have to rewire my agetec stick (which I was gonna have to do anyways since I am ordering sanwa parts for it), because the guy who wired mine is even WORSE than the guy Keith uses. He literally “solders” two wires together by twisting them, hotgluing it and then covering the monstrosity in electrical tape. I’m amazed my stick even works at all. But it was still only 43 bucks shipped so I won’t complain.
Not all PCBs have a common ground, for example most Xbox pads have two separate grounds grouped (one for D-pad/start/back, and another for the buttons).
The X-Box official pad isn’t like that. The 360 pad? Stupidly complex. I just hacked one an hour ago for another order, and that thing is just a pain to hack, especially the d-pad. The soldering points are tiny. But you should be using the ground from the d-pad for the stick and one from the buttons, anyways. I’m debating on whether or not I’m gonna daisy chain mine. I like individual grounds :wonder:
Can someone ask Kyle to update the poker rankings? I am really wanting to know where I stand before the next poker game…
relax man i’m sure you’re fine
Minor news:
I would like to see you play poker.
We changed our agreement to ft50 for $5. The MM wasn’t for money, really. We just wanted to play, and the money match made it more interesting. We had 70 or so games of casuals afterwards.
Everyone loses to Zangief. I saw Row lose to Zangief…
See, I just want to get more practice in as well. How about you and I go ft50 for $1, dammit? Problem is, I got’s no stick, so I’ll probably have to go pad warrior on you.
When I lost to Geif, my fierce punch and down/left were working. I had no excuse. Row was playing at the Hub, and still embarrassing people.
Maybe I should just stick to games that don’t require execution. I could take up 3s or ST, just pick cheese characters and force the opponents to counter pick. Perhaps I’ll get a follow up av with Gill bitch slapping Roll.
