Dude, Steve. I’m making you an avatar of the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers. I’m doing the old school one from the U.S.
Fuck dat, dood. Make me one of Kando and Vida Guerrera.
Wolverine finished.

nice Wolvie pic. I don’t think there should be spot highlights on his shoulder pads though, methinks highlights would form lines across the curvature of the shoulder pad.
Nage - Thanks man! I’ve been using Photoshop recently, but for like, the Cecil and Batman, those were done in Painter Essentials.
Rook - Dood, you and DZ pointed out some REALLY key stuff, man. I edited the CRAP out of it when I read your crits, LOL.
Here’s the edited version, but don’t hesitate to crit more, even if I got the shoulders wrong (which I know I did.)

Kando what do you use? I heard the new paintshop pro is bar-none the best. I forgot how to alt shade and crap in photoshop, so it’s getting tuff again.
lazy skank. it doesnt even take as long to draw a and color a pic as it does to put up a workable site. pm me the log and pass again. i actually started drawin a little after 2 years, i might wanna do something with the site.
Nice Wolvie man! Couple of pointers I want to point out.
First of all watch out for you values. When i squint my eye i see some highlights the same value all around. If I were you I’d tone down the left side of his body (our right). That will make his right side pop out more. watch your saturation level on the shadows. Cool colors make a figure turn so i think you can use greens purples etc…
Now given we see yellow and blue as the dominant palette right. Well what do yellow and blue make? green right? So throw some of that green into the shadowing on his yellow suit to cool it down. great job on the usage of color though man. At least your colors aren’t a 1 color fade. I see that you have used 3 colors for each section for his costume.
know your costume. I think it would be more interesting if the gloves and bootes were shiny and the yellow part was dull.
Now onto structure and planes of a figure. On the left hand side you should see a cube. Now I sectioned it off 3 shapes eyedropping your colors on his shoulderpad. Right now you have the darkest dark running into the top plane of his pad. His shoulder pad is sectioned off into two planes. Bottom plane should be the darkest dark, and the other plane should be for mids and highlights since the planes are so harsh. Occasionally the darkest dark will run into the mids if the surface is really shiny. I didn’t put that into the crit though cause i wanted to show you planes. That goes for the rest of the figure also. So be aware of that next time around.
Overall exellent! Wow that was a long crit. Only cause I take you seriously. You impoved so fast!
damn good crit man. FOr a nice ass pic kando!
Dood, Pete… that hadta be THE best crit you’ve ever given me. I was debating on whether or not to keep his shoulder pads the same as his shadows, only cuz I wanted that highlight to stand out, but once you pointed that out with the box, it made perfect sense. Now for cool colors you say it gives objects a turning effect… but should I put that up against a lighter tone from mid? Cuz I notice the cool shade on his neck left side of his chest stick out more that his left thigh. Or is that just the light source? Anyways, thanks a ton for that crit!
DF - Dood, where’ve you been at? Draw somethin! Stop slackin and crit me b10tch! lol
Surprisingly enough?

Yet another… how sad.
Good ish you got going here man. Just got a quick question for ya. Are you just doing this all on photoshop or are these just drawings? I’m new to all of this so sorry for the somewhat obvious questions.
Thanks!
Why’re you thanking me, I’M the one who sucks, LOL. Sometimes I do whole photoshop drawings, every once in awhile I’ll see if I can come up with something in Painter Essentials/Diet Painter. I honestly prefer to sketch and scan, then color in photoshop though. Which really makes me want to improve my lineart, cuz it’s really basic.
I was surprisingly satisfies with the wrapper I scanned and pasted onto this. I’d laugh my ass off if someone critted this saying the bar code was missing. Then again, I laugh at dumb shit.

BRING TEH GRAPE!
This rules man. Nice an lively! Great choice in brushes
nice colouring job
you’ve improved a lot, man. well done.
well met.
who’s kando though? Sounds kinda duckly for a girl’s name.
Thanks alot you guys! I’m sorta embarrassed to tell you, DF. But I will anyway. A few years ago(15 and was obsessed with anime), I made a basic ass storyline between a blue-haired Ryu-like warrior, and his stalker blue haired annoying semi-sidekick. Her name was first Kandi, but even THEN I thought that was hella basic, so I just changed the last vowel, and Kando was born. 2 years later, I listened to a song called “Birthday Cake” by Cibo Matto, and for some reason I gave Kando a whole different persona. One that was a “7r3nd53773r/trendsetter”, and did ridiculous stuff like pose constantly for no reason, and she became more of a comedian rather than an anime character.
Phew, I came a LOOONG way since then, LOL, how embarrassing. Thanks for asking, now I feel like an ass. Feel free to laugh your ass off by looking at my old junk. http://www.geocities.com/japimpact/sketches.html
Whoops, almost forgot… I’m gonna make many many adjustments to this tablet sketch I just did.
