The first special event for PU2011 has been added to the OP!
Our Mystery Game Tournament will have half of the entrance fee go directly to the Child’s Play charity. Child’s Play is a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in their network of over 60 hospitals worldwide. Play some crazy games and feel good because you know you’re helping those kids have some fun while they get healthy!
T-Shirt Proofs are here! Going off some feedback I got yesterday at Fight Night, I threw together some rough examples and would like everyone to tell me which design they like the most for the front of the shirt. The back of the shirt will remain the same, with the AL logo in line art on the back upper neck. PU2011 Shirt Proofs on Photobucket
As always, the blue shirts are for staff only. For participants I would prefer to only have to use two shirt colors. Black is definitely in there, but choosing between red, green, or even another color I can’t decide on, so help me out!
Still open to new ideas, but this design will need to be finalized in the next month or so.
I am really excited about this plus it’ll get bigger and with more hype with time but I know that I can confirm that DMG will be there. Which one? Only time will tell.
I’ve got Aaron working on the t-shirt, but thanks Quentin! The black color is my favorite, too, but which size logo do you like? Big or small? Different layout of the logo?
Lastly, I would like to do a pre-order only, special run of the PU2011 T-Shirt design. To be honest I don’t want to lose money on shirts again. How many people would be interested in purchasing a shirt before the event and then picking it up?
Shirts will be $10 a piece, like last year. I’m thinking of going with the PU logo on the front, smaller and chest centered lithe first design. On the back beneath the Arcade Legacy “A” will then be PowerUp, and under that will be 2011. Seems as if more people want the year on the shirt than not. I’ll update again with pics.
PowerUp 2011 is VGF sanctioned! The VGF (Video Gaming Federation) is a new rating system founded by community member Xiang for SSFIV, T6, and eventually MvC3. At PU2011 your participation in the VGF rating system is completely voluntary and there is no change to any payouts or entry fees.
