Is the 5v5 an OH team thing? Also you all are definitely not doing SSFIV teams are you? When you register for MvC3 teams do you just pay $5 for yourself? I kind of wouldn’t want to have to pay for other people considering I don’t know if we are coming 100% yet and Josh doesn’t have teammates yet. I did go ahead and reserve a room just in case we do come though (apparently I am the other 1 of the 2).
You don’t have to pay anything up front to book. You can book however many nights you may need and then cancel one or more at a later time if need be.
The SSFIV 5v5 is Michigan vs Illinois. The Ohio Team added in is a bonus. We are definitely not running an official SSFIV teams tournament.
When registering for teams events, “One person will sign up their entire team, pay for that team, and provide at the bottom of the Checkout Page the team name and the names of the players.”
So don’t sign up unless you have your team put together already. Wait until the teammates can provide money to whomever is paying the entry fee. It does depend, for now, on knowing who’s going to show up 100%.
And remember that players can still received refunds on tournament entry fees (not venue fee) up to 30 minutes before the start of a tournament.
