Quite honestly, it slipped my mind. So just come back here and tell me that you for sure want it added, and I’ll do that. The way it looks, HDR teams would probably be able to use the BB:CT PS3s, as we will most likely be running BB:CS (if enough setups can be obtained).
Go for the bargains, for sure! I was advised by my hotel researcher to hit up the Holiday Inn for a deal, so that’s what I did. If people don’t book the rooms by April 28th, I don’t get penalized. The rooms just go back into general population : )
Yes, I will have full team and character information posted up before the event. I was going to wait until April to mention that the cutoff for having your full team and characters decided is May 24th. I will keep all information about teams hidden (at least, I won’t say anything XD) until then.
I think we might be able to scroung up enough players to form some 3 man region teams. We should be able to form a couple of decent teams with Ohio players. If we can get enough teams formed in time we should run it, since it sounds like there will be PS3’ s open.
This, however, will be it for adding on main tourneys. Anything else will have to be player run with whatever available casuals/side tourney setups we will have. I personally want to see some great HDR action, so I hope you all bring it!
By the way, I don’t know if this has been addressed yet, but JoJo’s needs a couple of bans based on general GGPO/Japanese arcade etiquette.
First and foremost, maximum 2-3 reps on infinite loops and maximum 2 Tandems per combo.
Granted, I don’t think anyone residing in the US has the execution in this game to infinite people to death with most characters, but for S.Dio for instance, he has an infinite with cr.A1, s.A3, Stand, dash, repeat, which isn’t remotely hard. I can do it pretty much 100% of the time and my execution is butt.
And also, Petshop should be banned.
Can’t be hit low while “standing”, and is difficult to hit in general because of his tiny hitbox, has insane zoning/mixups, is unbelievably easy to use, has the best mobility, his combos do the most in the game, especially based on a meter-to-damage ratio, and his absolute worst matchup is 6-4 in his favor. Basically you can’t get in on him, and if you screw up while trying to, you lose all of your life.

If I remember correctly, the only real difference is that there’s no Hol Horse/Mariah/Khan/Rubber Soul/Black Polnareff and there are some cosmetic differences;
all the same properties for each character are the same.
At least I hope my memory is correct, if it’s anything like PS1 JoJo’s I am not going within 100 feet of it.

Good question. Once I have all team members and characters played, I think leaving player order in the actual 5v5 as a surprise is fine.

Yeah I’ll bring some DCs, sure. The other Cle guys said they’re in, so once I get a room or find a place to stay for sure I’ll see if you need any other equipment.
Does Legends still have a Jam? Any hope of a tourney on that – teams or singles, 2 quarters maybe (5 min game)?
We do still have Jam but probably will not by that time. We also have an NBA Showtime/Blitz which probably WILL be there.
I have two complete Naomi setups that can easily be swapped in the sitdown Marvel cab, so PJ finds its way in there when the people demand it. I plan on converting my VF4 cab to be a Naomi and Atomiswave swappable cab, mainly for PJ and HNK (or Neo Geo Battle Coliseum if I get it).
Granted I don’t have access to these machines any more locally, but I will just throw this out there and proclaim that I like me in both of these games and would like to take on some challengers even though it’s been years since I’ve played.

Actually I might have to stick to Blitz unless someone has a fully leveled up character on Showtime that I can edit/use for a day. :bgrin:
