They’re scrubs then. The timing is a bit difficult, but you can escape stomps.

when 2 came out i was dissappointed about the downgrade in the fighting system but there was enough fun in the game to not let that bother you
power stone 1 is good but too basic to develope a scene, even Urban Reign is too basic to develop a scene. but maybe if powerstone takes bits from UR then it would benefit
I think UR can do with an in-fighting cornering system.

I didnt like power stone 2 as much. Like i said, it got too chaotic and too reliant on the stage interaction. It not bad when you have some interaction, but too much of a good thing is bad.

just got done playing 4-way powerstone 2 at friends, game is still hella fun.
That ish was really fun! I have the anthology on the PSP and sometimes my bro and I will play it.
I almost wish they’d “combine” the two games. I really like the gameplay and the feel of the first game better, but the 4p mode and the levels in PS2 are a lot more fun to me. Still, great games to break out at a party cuz they’re easy to pick up and fun for awhile.

shit ass broken game, anyone who remembers it fondly didn’t have it at their arcade. Repeat dive kick spam and negative tactics withe the power stone make it awful.

There were ways around said tactics, “Escaping” for example. It was easier in PS1 IMO. You’d be surprised at what you can dodge in that game. And jumping is your friend too, if timed right
Dive kicks weren’t fool proof, but the ROI on a dive kick makes it brain dead NOT to repeat dive kick.
I’m struggling to come up with any kind of analogy… maybe MSF Wolverine dash c.shorts- by no means unbeatable but good enough to base your whole game on pretty safely.
i friggin loved power stone back when i had my dreamcast all i played was that and mvc1 my friend would always play with that guy who looked like a super saiyan and kick my ass, ahhh nostalgia…
I use to own at power stone as the samurai guy. the only person i couldn’t beat was my friend who accually own the game and the system.
yea it sux when you don’t actually own the game or the system and you’re playing a friend it feels like you’re fighting an uphill struggle.
This and Crazy taxi 2 where in my top 3 DC games.
I’d like to see a HD Remix of Power Stone. I loved the levels of powerstone 2 but I felt that it was less unarmed combat and more about who had the most power weapon. PS2 would have to be rebalanced and I’d like to see the PS1 stages thrown in :bgrin:
