So guys, what is our opinion on Nova with Logtrap?
Nova with the coon is fucking godlike. Both Logtrap and Spitfire are amazing assists.
BTW, while here at work, I kinda thought of something that might be pretty nice utilizing some of Dougie’s install super DHC technology.
Utilizing Nova/Dante/Doom, I was thinking of doing something like…
whatever combo, Nova Force, DHC into devil trigger, rawtag Doom, air series, missile otg, call Nova during 2 or 3rd missile, mash missiles, hardkick, sj, footdive, missile OTG, teamsuper while Nova’s recovering so you can Doom/Dante TS.
TOD possibly on anyone, but you’ll to be able to build a bar, which I think you do from the Nova extension and you’ll need to be able to Team Super while Nova’s in recovery. Can anyone lab this and get back to me? I’m at work, but I’m pretty sure this works.
Problem is that you need to start with 2 meters to get it. Normally, starting with 1, solo Nova combo will get 1 more (2), super nova spends 1 (1), dhc spends another (0). HOWEVERRRRRRR. What WOULD be possible is what I had in mind and wanted to do in my next video. After the extension, the missile xx THC (juggled by missiles) foot dive TK plasma beam
Tried it just now, Nova recovered fast enough that the team super was Doom/Nova not Doom/Dante. Still did 1.2mil, but you need to have a lot of bar to start the combo I think (at least 2.5).

Sounds a lot like Nova/Doom/Vergil, which is amazing. I say go for it.
Oof. Just damn near broke a million, damn near a full meter positive, with nova in the corner starting off a j.H, j.L, or M. Could probably break a million without spending bar if I could do the good nova and vergil extensions. Shit, if you can get the hidden missiles nova extension consistently, this would probably kill any character in the game with Nova/Doom/Vergil. Like, with just the standard Vergil extension, I’m doing 800k and building a full 2 bars. I wish I had a capture card, here’s notation…

I’ve yet been able to get that consistently. Shit is rough.
It’s hard, and I feel like the timing is slightly different from char to char (smaller chars require a slightly longer wait, I think), but I’ve been able to get it somewhat consistently (9/10 times) against Vergil, Spencer, Magneto, and Wolvie so far. And when I do drop, it’s almost always that the tag is too low - I just miss the cr.L but can’t get punished. I’ll see about recording it tonight.
Got some lousy video… Couldn’t get a decent finisher off. Won’t have access to the game for a while, so I’ll edit what I can and post it probably by the 30th or so. I can very much get the tag consistently on normal-sized bodies. It’s really not hard at all, once you get the timing to muscle memory - I’ve had more trouble with basic magneto B&Bs. It’s just that I can’t do the double finisher (I have no idea what’s going wrong on the nova missiles finisher - Spencer, for example, never gets hit by 5 missiles, only by 4. I think I can get vergil extension to H->nova->beam->thing, but that’s nowhere near the damage or bar. Is it possible to do Vergil extension -> tiger knee beam nova extension?). Either way, this is probably max damage with nova in the corner, and there are variants for any starter, including cr.M. It’s all really solid, meaty damage.
What I can’t get consistent is against an aerial opponent. I don’t think it’s really possible.
Please do. I need more dmg from point Nova, I can only do the Doom missile like 6/10 times. Right on for the notations though.
Perhaps we could air dash up j.l j.h l rocket punch?

Hmm, I wonder if you could use the same technique to raw tag into Vergil, and if that’d be more damage… Is that a thing? Vergil hard tags? In any case, it would make a good case for Vergil second…
