Potential Faster-Than -Light Particle Found!

u forgot fundamentalist nutjob christian.

although i guess that falls under dumb

I find it weird that 2 independent sets of tests from 2 different teams got the same result, only to potentially be seen as a glitch. I guess that makes far more sense than neutrinos traveling FTL.

I’m not a sad panda yet…

My science scholar buddy Jake: “Loose cable? They need to call Karl Hungus.”

in the future einstien will be thought of as just a persuasive fool

More likely, he’ll be thought of alongside the likes of Ptolemy: wrong as hell, but remarkably forward-thinking.

couldn’t think of the words at the moment but i was aiming for something a long these lines
so i just put that for a bit humor.
but he definitely served as a catalyst for stirring our brain juices

in the far future i can picture a class room speaking of him and how he was wrong but hey here’s a funny picture of the guy ahh he’s so cuuuuute

Just for the record, I’ve met Dr. Kaku once, and I’m EXTREMELY JEALOUS. I mean I’m an economist, not a physicist, and I’d STILL love to sit in a class of his for a semester. That’s awesome.

Seeing how the whole purpose of physics is to find out the true nature of the fundamental forces (electromagnetism, weak nuclear force, strong nuclear force, and gravity) it should come to no surprise that we are still in the infancy of knowledge. But statistically speaking, we’re probably a billion times more advanced than our ancestors many millenia ago.

Wait, so this thread *isn’t *about Million trying to get an upskirt shot in a Walmart parking lot?

Yea he’s a great professor, very enthusiastic, cracks a lot of jokes. Although if you ask stupid questions he’ll make fun of you lol.

Or members/supporters of the Republican Party AMIRITE

Makes me wonder what Bill Nye’s been up to all this time seriously.

Currently–and unsurprisingly–Nye is an advocate for science literacy and frequently appears as a guest on TV shows as a spokesperson for scientific issues.

still a possibility, apparently:

Almost forgot: I went to my girlfriend’s sister’s commencement at Johns Hopkins a few years back… completely unsuspecting.

Who was the commencement speaker?

That’s right.

Bill.

Fucking.

Nye.

They gave him an honorary doctorate. It was out of fucking control.

These dang infernal machines! Confounding contraptions and the like!

Yeah I remember when I believe it was about the oil spill he was on tv. I think this was a few years back. Looks exactly the same too. Really cool that he does that too.
