Nothing special… just modded my Windows XP to look like Mac OSX.
What program do you use?
Avedesk [to make the desktop icons disappear], Window Blinds [for the skinning], Object Dock [the dock at the bottom], and some custom icons I found over the net… might be forgetting one.
Or you can right click on the desktop and uncheck “Show desktop icons”. :razzy:

I don’t know if it’s like this for everyone, but my Recycle Bin still shows when I do that.
Hmm weird, it hid everything for me. I got bored of modding my desktop, when I got Vista, I just left it default except for deskscapes, which are awesome.

They’re obviously smooth, unlike the video which is all jerky. I use the waterfall one and the orange tube.

Hrm maybe cause you have Vista… dunno. I want to get Vista, but I need to upgrade my PC slightly before I do.

You could use STYLER. That shit has a hide icons feature.
Instead of using Avedesk, couldn’t you just right click on desktop and hide all icons?
Read on. My XP doesn’t allow me to hide Recycle Bin.

You can get the TweakUI powertoy from Microsoft. It’s a handy little utility that lets you make a lot of adjustments to your UI, including removing the Recyle Bin from the desktop. Very easy to use, only a few clicks and it’s gone.

Also, do any of you guys even still USE the recycle bin? I can’t even begin to remember the last time I wanted to undelete something. I Shift+Del everything, so it bypasses the recycle bin and is just insta-deleted.
