I hate K-Blanka. Small Jump Hk, JD your anti air or air to air then HK are really annoying to me, especially with C-Sagat. I might be the only one, but i find very hard to react to a jump/small jump HK from him (and sagat’s tall), when he is mixing with all his good pokes and JD. (Once i get in, the nigthmare disappears though ^_^)
Iori gives me troubles too. "You know he’s gonna roll, you know… too late! Damn i knew it lol"
Of course those who give troubles don’t just roll in, people are smarter than that
I guess the buktooth’s morrigan style would just destroy me I never fought a really good one. Seems like a mind rape ahah!
I think for me my biggest problem with this game is moving beyond being Middle of the road good and like a champion at this game. It seems like you can do well up to a certain point but without a huge variety of competition its hard to progress. I’ve been on the plateau of skill level for far to long. And the only things I cna think of working on are 100% rcs and maybe some silly tricks, everything else I can only get better at through match play, something I am lacking.
I hate how I’m pretty dormant 80% of the year playing.
Picking C-Guile, Ken, Cammy (2), combos are way, way off.
Can still hold my own picking away with all of 'em, and whiff punish here and there, but gotta rebuild foundations again.
At least I can still RC for some much needed mayhem.
It’s funny though because I can easily pick N-Nako, Terry, Hibiki (my old main team) and wreck havoc, but the combos and setups for that team are disappearing. Basically all I’ve got are reading the opponent and space control and keeping my opponents window of opportunity minimal, at least as much as I can.
Well, its seemingly difficult at first because of the extra jumping animation given to characters in grooves with low jump. Its still possible to TK you just have to be more precise about it.
p-kyo is one crazy ass mofo. random parry into close hk/c.mp xx mk up kicks xx dp+hk = too much stun and too much damage. opponent is then left knocked down close to you and one hit away from stun.
i dont think p-groove is weaker than n-groove. i think its just as good. it seems like you are forced to rush down when using N groove.
For the simple fact that there are a lot more good characters in N-groove than there are in P-groove, N is the stronger groove. P is just very limited in its potential.
Vega. They’re both annoying, but at least Blanka is a well-rounded character. I don’t feel bad about losing to that. Vega just pokes, pokes, pokes some more… and that’s about it.
If I see Vega in the first slot, I know two things: I’m going to get poked a lot, and he’s going to have a full meter by the time I get to the second character (Blanka, Dictator, Sak, or whomever). That’s annoying.
