Aww, it’s the only one I can walk to. Just got MVC2 about a month ago, except when kids come, it’s the usual button killer. The buttons gotta get fixed every few hours. Only other fighting game is CVS1(not 2) and T5:DR. Overall, shit sucks, but awesome salvadorean competition. SRK en espanol.
Kros: I’d love to chill at the SF TO again, but the mall in general is kinda sparse these days thanks to the renovations and closings so I don’t really hang out there anymore. And like you said, sparse FG selection + hit and miss controls = iffiness.
ilazul: Sounds good - I’m gonna contact some of my friends and see when the group’s free, but I’ll definitely PM you on a weekend when we want to get our arcade on. :bgrin:
God, I remember when there were 2 Time Outs at SF Mall… and when you could drop by for random games in 3s, T5/DR, GGXX, SC2, SC3:AE, etc.
I’ve only stopped by the Ballston Tilt when I was in the area to get my car serviced… and yeah, their choice of FGs confuse me and the lack of maintenance is pretty sad. Last time, I played some SC2 with the 2p side joystick not working, and somehow managed to get a 6-win streak even though I couldn’t block lows or move.
I was only allowed to go almost as soon as I was ending high school…last year. Even then, took me awhile to find out that they use to have 3s at Springfield in the old bottom floor timeout. Was even more surprised to find out that people actually used to shop alot at springfield. I’m trying to get a job over at that time out. Been trying to petition them to get new fighting game machines (3s and CVS2 mainly, and joked around about getting SF4.). Overall, meh, at least its not landmark.
ilazul how much do you think that cost you all together? I wouldn’t mind buying a bunch of setups like that & put in a restaurant one of these days…If you can give me a ballpark in how much you paid i can start saving now…Thanks
Oh & yeah its one of my dreams to get a Daytona USA cab…I’ll get it someday…
ShadowYamato, why did you mount the router/switch on the wall like that? Wouldn’t it be better and less of an eyesore to have it on or under your desk somewhere?
Note: the view from here will be replicated on the other side of the shop, basically. We’re aiming for 16-20 stations (24" LCD’s, PC’s, hdmi port available for BYOConsole etc) and 2 big screen tv’s.
