A restored Street Fighter 2: TWW cab!
Nice cab Dash! I always loved the shape and artwork on those.
rcaido, I can’t tell the exact dimensions, but if I’m right on my guess, leave the CE cab as it is, and put the Daytona cab where the futon is, that was it’s not right next to the window. No sense of risking putting it by the window, even with the blinds closed, there will be that slight amount of glare.
I think i have an idea on the setup already, thanks though. Well i ended up clearing out everything except for SF cab last night. So the DAytona cab is room ready!
So my next thing i want to add is 2 candy cabinets. Which would you recommend?

Not sure about the candies. Im thinking of just getting a Neo Geo cab instead & then build a sit down cab for next gen. I have someone local who has a Neo Geo Cab 4-slot for sale for about $550. Comes w/ Samsho, Real Bout Fatal Fury 2, & Golf game…Is this a good price or should i wait?
why bother with games? I think 550 for a neogeo cabinet is rather high. you could just throw in a $40 original xbox in there and have ALL neogeo games through fba emulator. Id say get an empty cabinet and mame it with an original xbox. muuuch cheaper and use the funds to build the next gen sitdown cabinet. most Id pay for a neogeo cabinet is $300. offer him that and chances are he’ll sell it.
i love Neo’s so much man, i’d probably do it. But you have to make that choice. I’d cave in a heartbeat lol…
He could probably sell on the 4 slot + the games for about $200 so meh. And I’d go with a PC for MAME over an original Xbox - just preferance though.

I guess i’ll hold off with the Neo-geo arcade. I guess i got all excited cuz the asian wife actually gave the ok to make a man cave arcade room! I always love the Neo Geo cabinets but the fighting games were pretty shitty except for Shamsho. I really want to just get it for the shumps & puzzle games.
Yeah i already have a modded xbox from awhile back. Has all the emulators needed…Was going to be used for a cocktail cabinet project for my two girls. Its still in the garage unfinished…No father of year award for me…
I should just focus on Daytona right now, making sure it makes it safe this Thursday. i’ll post up pics! Just 4 more days!

Hey dash how much did you pay for the Time Crisis 2 cabinet? Is $550 for 2-player a good price? What’s the dimension on that motha?
Where are you guys snagging these cabs? I’ve been lucky enough to get my SF2 and DK cab off Craigslist, but other then that, not too much shows up here…
Theres places that sell cabs even lizard lick sells some mini-cab’s you just gotta find a good site or make them yourself or a good e-bay/craigslist deal.

astro city’s are the classiest of those you listed and really one of the most classy out there, and the new astro city adds better sound. The Aero is cool if you want something REALLY retro, but they are very old, and more of a 80s feel and less cool than an astro IMO.
Looks like a no go with Time Crisis, one of the monitors isnt working. I dont want to deal with that, plus its way to big. Any of you guys own a pinball machine? Im thinking of picking one up one of these days…
Funnily enough the TC2 cab was $100. A friend and I went to pick up the red counterpart for $400, the guy mentioned he had the blue half but it wasn’t working so I offered him a bill for it and to my surprise, when I got home, found out it worked perfectly.
It has a 27" monitor and is pretty big, but not bulky so it fit right in. Luckily I have a 14’ ceiling, so height isn’t an issue.
