Possible to lengthen joystick shaft?

I usually use a bat top for my Seimitsu LS-56 but recently have started using a balltop. I like how it feels except my hand just doesn’t feel comfortable holding the ball top at the height it is at now (ball sits between middle finger and ring finger) I don’t have huge hands or anything but it just feels like I’d like the ball top a little higher. (Maybe about half an inch higher up so that it’s around my index)

Is there a little mod or something I can buy to make the the ball top sit a little higher?

Buy a sanwa joystick adapter (about halfway down on this link http://www.lizardlickamusements.com/pages/joysticks.shtml), get an M6 screw, attach a nut to the joystick shaft, screw the adapter on top.

The M6 screw then needs the screw head cut off.

You’ll probably need to file the screw once you’ve cut the head off so that the ball top will fit on.

Note that this is all theory and untested :stuck_out_tongue:

Screw in picture is 20mm, for the height you want you’d probably need a 25mm screw and then have another nut(or two) on top of the adapter.

This is a great idea and for anyone who has the tools to do this, it’s awesome. Unfortunately I don’t have the tools necessary to do this.

What I’ve done though is switched my Seimitsu ball top for a Hori ball top which is ever so slighty bigger than the Seimitsu. Very happy with the slightly bigger ball.

Go with that giant 45 mm ball they offer, or have Numbski make a custom out of a baseball. That would look pretty bad ass.

Lol, the baseball would be pretty amazing. Until you realized the weight of the ball was keeping your joystick activated. Would definitely require a hard spring to return that to neutral.

Use the spring from a P360 somehow and then only install 24mm buttons on the stick. Make it look like your some freak with a massive left arm and tiny right one
