I don’t have a huge personal problem with Sam and the guy has always treated me okay even if I do sometimes egg him on in person to play a bit more often. Very little of what I said in this thread is something I wouldn’t repeat to him in person, but it’s meant partly as a constructive criticism of his playing attitude and partly as an admonition about him talking trash given that attitude. I’m not going to start anything physical with him and will still treat him as I would anyone else. I’m not a person who likes to start fights or get personal with rivalries and such. My opinions here were just opinions. No offense meant or taken.

I recall talking with you some back in the day, and you seemed like a cool guy. I’d like to keep that perspective.
I’m coming home from college over thanksgiving break, and hopefully I’ll be at this tournament. Like I said, so long as it’s civil, I’m down for a wager at any point.

Damn, the bets are flying in thread. There’s alot of money being put down on these matches, and I have to cover my end. So here is whats lined up :
I bet $10 on Bakemono vs SamB in Marvel.
SamB took the bet. All good.
I know Marvel isn’t Bakemono’s primary game, but I know that he can play it, and I respect his skill in other games. So I’m leant to the idea that he can win, and hell. it’ll be fun.

I said I’d give 3-1 to Mind_Reaver for a 2/3 set. and I will. but you guy have to realize that I just can’t sit around and commit most of my money to bets like this. SamB wants to bet $20 with me, Jubei wants to bet $20 with me. at 3-1 I’d have to set out $120 for a god damn Marvel tournament. Thats not going to happen.
I’ll accept a “Friendly” $5 dollar bet from each of you, which means that if Mind_Reaver wins your each out $5, and if Mind_Reaver loses I pay each of you $15. Now I can handle this.
Or I’ll take a $10 from one of you, which means I would pay out $30.
I’m not going to bet big money for 2 reasons.
- I don’t have any hateful intention behind these bets. I just like to see rivalry
- I don’t have the money to spare for betting on Marvel.
