Portland and Southern Maine- Make It Happen!

Honestly, we havent had a fight night in ages. No one ever host them and everyone plays on their own. Our fight scene has been reduced to more like 3-4 players. Me, DustyFeets, Moxmaniac. Thats pretty much the only serious fighting game players in Maine. I’ve been focusing on MvC3 quite a bit my self. I still play SF4 a good 2-3 hours a day but mostly Marvel at this point. If you play online, feel free to hit me up. I play 10pm-3am every single night and im always down for sets.

You play Dudley? Im also an avid Dudley player. We should run some mirror sets.

Don’t forget about J5. His Cody is top notch now.

Gotta see it to believe it. Hes gotta play more than one person  IE (You) lol. I see Rob playing PC online more than either of you guys. I think we need to setup a fight night and throw down.

That’s Charlie on Robbie’s account. :sunglasses: I do agree, offline matches would be great. Once winter comes around I’ll be able to travel down to MA for some fight nights down there.

Wish i was single, id be driving down there every week lol. I got a bitch of a fiance that prevents me from doing these things lol.

Women! I’ve met MoxManiac at a fightnight (his name is Josh or something irl isn’t it?)

and yeah I play Dudley, need a lot of work though, I’d be down for some online matches, I haven’t played in a while and packing and cleaning and moving sure takes the fire out of me so idk when I’d really be on but add me GT = JoshyLifeSoHard

My Gief is no joke!

Its kind of a joke  jk

“Rose is cheap and only hipster faggots use her.”

I would love to be more active in the community, but without regular access to the Internet, I can’t play online with you guys. I’m gonna have to wait a couple more months.

Training mode and weak wireless internet signal for youtube videos. That’s how I kept up to date with stuff at my new place for the first couple of months.

Also I have more information about the tournament at Coast City Comic Con. I went there yesterday to pick up my ticket and ask a little bit about it. It’s going to be single elimination. Best two out of three matches. Also I checked out the sticks they’re going to have there. It’s two Tekken wireless sticks. So if you guys are going to go to this remember. Tickets are $20 and its a $5 buy in for the tournament.

Im scared lol…What is the prize pool going to be like. I know the 20$ will not be counted into the pot because thats considered a “ticket” for the whole weekend event. That being said, this means 5 dollars per person. If we were lucky, 20-25 random kids would sign up for this and we could rob them of their cash. The shitty part about the single elim is someone could pull out a “Noah” and just mash buttons with hulk or sent and possibly pull a win putting an actual skilled player out of the tourney. Thats a bit of a turn off cause stupid shit like that happens lol. Im gonna have to think this one over.

While on the note of MVC3. Who wants to run some serious sets tonight. Im tired of shitty laggy matches and playing other New England or Maine players is the only lag free way of playing. I want some real sets though, not play 12 games then decide its time for AE ;).

Just don’t lose you cool! That’s how a lot of people lost to Noah. And I’ll run a set with you tonight. First to 15. That’ll be three more games than usually since I’ll win it 15-0.

0o0o0oh, You just asked for a spanking son. Its on like Donkey Kong.

After looking into the whole gem system for SFxT, and reading many an article for and against this system, I have finally made a decision: I am drawing the line here. The gem system is one of the worst ideas they ever could have come up with for competitive play, and the fact that they want you to shove so much money in their face for a game that’s bound to have balance problems makes me disgusted. I am voting with my wallet, and will NOT buy the game. Sorry Capcom, but I don’t rike it.

I dont think Capcom will be hurt from missing one sale  The game its self looks amazing. Im more or less confused by the whole gem system then anything but im not gonna hate on it till I see what its about. Capcom is good to their tournament players and the idea of having a Ken or Steve Fox that plays faster or hits stronger than another players same choice of characters is actually pretty cool.

The one on one fighting games are growing old on me anyways so honestly, once ultimate hits the scene, that will most likely become my main game of choice. Ive been putting some serious hours into MvC3 to prepare my self.

I’m really hyped for Skullgirls to come out. More than other fighting games that are coming out. Got to try the really really build of it back at PAX East. I’m hoping to go to another event where I can try out the latest version.

The gems themselves aren’t bad, it is how they’re handling it

Who wants to get trampled in Mahval tonight? I need some comp guys lets go!!!

Maines Marvel scene suuucckkkkssssss!!!
