Poll: Would you buy a DVD that featured Buchecha vs. Mexico?

I have to do this poll to see if it is advantageous from a financial POV to pay the amount of money to bring Buchecha from Brazil to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico to play against not only Juarez’s finest players like Alexis, Esteban, Hugo etc., but the finest players in all of Mexico as it is confirmed that Kula, Osmani, Abraham, and all the other players like Skato and some 60+ extra players would make their way up to JuareZ WarZone 2010 for this tournament.

Your opinions are greatly valued, please be honest as this will affect my decision.

Would you buy a DVD that featured Buchecha from Brazil vs. Mexico’s finest in KOF 2002?

Yes I would be all over that!
No, sorry not for me.

Thank you for your opinion it is greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,

Dark Geese
President of LDA Inc’s Gaming Division

Yes (assuming the price isn’t jacked ). You should see if you can get someone really qualified to make it as professional as possible.

Yeah I was gonna edit my post and post up that the price would be $19.99.

Also should it happen yeah I am gonna see about getting someone to help me make the DVD super top notch as it would be a possibly once per lifetime event.

approx. the running time would be…?
not to be an ass, but since i`m not from the US the cost of shipping will be quite high [i know the quality of the matches would be high though] but… u know…

19.99 USD, but if it needs to be cheaper it will be I’d want everyone to see it. Plus you’d be able to download it…so if you have decent internet no shipping.

Plus it’d probably be like 3-4 DVDs. I’d want you to feel like you’re getting the deal.

yeah my connection doesnt suck xD
so yeah… i will buy/download it for sure!

Works for me. Man you guys won’t believe the mess that just happened on Cyberfanatix…but I’m gonna give you the spill-

I’m doing the same thing here I’m doing on other forums to gather enough to see if its worth paying for Buchecha to come, and I made that thread there, and ole Vice Vecta comes in running his spill about how I’m RIPPING PLAYERS OFF…Also how I’m ripping them off charging a registration fee that we keep, and after that the people paying for each and every tournament they want 2 enter and the pots going out 70-20-10 you know…ALL THIS THE WAY LIKE 99.9% OF TOURNAMENTS HAPPEN HERE IN AMERICA INCLUDING EVO!!

So I’m ripping people off but yet I have heard from players that in Mexico tournaments are not always ran to where “The players get all the money”, and Vice Vecta tells me thats how all the tournaments in Mexico are ran.

To make a long story short, the Admin T.Bogard agrees with Vice Vecta and bans me…now isn’t that something stupid???

So I guess because I run tournaments like us Americans do I’m ripping people off??? Isn’t that the stupidest thing ever? :wtf:

What are you thoughts on this guys?

Stunts like these are probably why I don’t visit Cyberfanatix except once in a blue moon.

Would you be doing split DVD options like Evo? They sold the discs separately and as a total package in previous years.

My two cents are: i agree with you.
I think that since it’s u who hold the tourn, you choose the rules and everything…

Maybe, but I’m not gonna sell them for NEARLY the amount of money as EVO does. Like I say, the NDP 2k9 3 DVD package is going for $19.99 TOTAL for 3 DVDs, while if you want me to send the DVDs to you $23.99.

I want to make sure people can afford it.

And even though there are the pirates that buy it or record it and put it on youtube does that stop EVO from selling the DVDs?

No.

I even said I would make sure the only people recording would be us at the tournament and they were making it out like that would be a bad thing lol.

They say all the money is supposed to go back to the players…if this is the case how the hell is the venue supposed to play for itself eh?? How are you supposed to plan another tournament?

Doesn’t make ANY sense whatsoever…some of the most ignorant way of thought I have ever crossed IN MY LIFE.

For that token I don’t need CX.com if this is how their Admin thinks…they can ban me for life, I can contact who I need on that site on AIM etc and they can’t stop that.

Arstal was right they play favorites, but even then the way of thought is so stunning to me…

Yeah and I mean the reason I’m doing these tournaments now as a job is because I did them in the past 4 years for little of nothing. The reason people retire playing games is because it doesn’t sustain their WAY OF LIFE…or it doesnt pay the bills…so they retire from hardcore playing to do other things to pay the bills. I’ve spent the past 3-4 years building up my reputation doing these tournaments for peanuts and little of nothing,

And I’m not ripping these people off!!!

$10 to enter the building.

Then you pay $4 per tournament you want to enter, to which all the money from these particular tournaments GOES BACK TO THE PLAYERS…NOTHING FOREIGN TO US PLAYERS AND THOSE THAT GO TO EVO RIGHT?

I guess it’s foreign to them so that means I’m “ripping people off.”

The stupidest thing I’ve EVER HEARD.

Yeah, Cyberfanatix is terrible for anything but combos/system info and is so overloaded with morons, I never bothered posting anything there.

Any plans for a new forum?
Maybe somebody can take over the old guard-crush.net forums or something and re-format it.

Yessir, I am working on a new forum…but right now the site is being finished…once thats finished I will work on the forum to coincide with the site.

are you talking in pesos or dollars!?,lol

Everyone knows that Cyberfanatix is against productivity. Everything there is ass backwards and all the moderators and admins are pretentious idiots. If it isn’t jajajajaja kof combo majestros kof jugadores extremas, no one gives a shit.

With that said, I think if the quality is good and if you give the community a taste of what’s actually on the DVD (more than just a trailer) it should do well.

US Dollars, but we will have something that will be able to accept the transfer of currency.

Yeah I just bought another camera because and I will be using the following when I record:

  1. The feed setup which I am still working to iron out the kinks, it has led me to experiment with the video and sound compressions on VirtualDub to eliminate all kinds of lag.

  2. High Def $600 Company Camcorder- this will be in conjunction with the second portable camera what I will be using to film stuff, it can hold by itself 14 Gigs worth of footage, thus will be used to record high level things, interviews, other matches that either my feed, camera #1, #2, or #3 isn’t filming.

  3. Portable Camera #2- The problem with the camcorder I have been using is that its on Mini Dv Tapes, so in order to get them to my CPU I gotta use VirtualDub, which I feel lags using the video and audio compression. This other camera and all others from here on out will NOT use Mini DV tapes and will use USB connection as transfer so I can just put the Videos on my cpu instantly. I just bought one now so I assure you from here on out when I do ANY updates on my cpu etc you WILL NOT SEE LAG. Also anything that is high profile until I get the feed situation fixed, will be recorded with one of the three non Mini DV tapes. It will also be used to take pictures of the event to put on the DVD.

  4. Portable Camera #3- This is to make sure I have all the footage I need for interviews etc and can put them on my CPU at will with NO LAG.

So I think I have a system now and Nouveau Defi Prologue 2009 being that is was an experiment, has taught me this.

-DG

Thats not true…

No. It is true. The mods there are RACIST! (VICE VECTA making a comment about DG beign black) and ignorant meaning that they don’t have the slightest idea of how a major event is managed. I will apologize for calling them ignorant if I find out they are middle school kids who have not had the chance to take a high school economics class.

I use to frequent cyberfanatix a lot, but since I saw what happened to DG I will not post there anymore. Anyway they don’t offer anything good for the community besides combo videos.

Forum in the works…

I’m glad you brought that out and not me, I mean I know Spanish well so I definately saw the racist “Pinche Negro” comment by Vice Vecta, but no ban of course right?? As I say it’s hard for me to believe there’s no favoritism there.

The reality though is that thats where the KOF community in Latin America frequents, but from what I’ve been hearing as I have told DC, they are getting tired of the BS allowed by the Administration, so the website I’m working on is gonna take a little bit longer because we are adding a forum to it as we speak…

What’s the history behind orochinagi’s lack of an active forum?

I don’t know, but it’s a lot of the same members from CX.com over there…but they don’t come out as much as at CX
