Yeah serious. Markman, a Madcatz employee, has done more work marketing for Hori with this thread and sdtekken, than Hori has done all year. I don’t even think Hori has a Marketing department, maybe one guy does it for a week.
wow 129.99 for a V3-SA, im sold!! if this is true, can’t wait for september to come
i wonder, is there going to be a V3-SE?? one can dream right
So what is going on with preorders for this thing? Not that I plan to do it, but I’d like to see how fast the preorders sell out.
With no news directly from Hori, and it is now the 19th, I guess this whole thread is, “Just Kidding!”
So did I have to actually be at E3 to pre-order? Or was the intel you received just bad Markman?
I checked SDTekken several times a day throughout all of E3, and Hori’s US website and web-store. So disappointed right now. My old Hori gave up the ghost maybe two months back, and I was holding out to pre-order a VLX. I hope we hear something soon, at least.
so E3 is over… no news if this thing is coming to the States??
Looks like it is to me:
Some people don’t really read this thread thoroughly, do they?!
Hori needs to make up their mind. This flier reads the release for this month: http://www.flickr.com/photos/47660349@N06/4710771294/in/photostream/.
i saw the image, but other than the image there has not been any anouncement, not even in the Hori store, its like when they announced the HRAP 3 SA in Japan and took like a year to go live…
Oh, fudge. For real?!
Eh forget it, the VLX rap premium looks nice but is simply way too damned big/long.
I’m going to put wheels on mine and use it as a skateboard <3
I see it says Sep for the v3 sa, but anyone know anything about the vx sa?
I’ll probably get a V3-SA if I have a job by then and can scrounge up the cash to afford it but no way am I spending $300 on an over-sized joystick that bends inward when you touch it!
Heck, I can’t justify $200 for the BlazBlu TE’s or Comicon SFIV sticks, either…
I don’t think we’re going to see a V3-SE any time soon in the US, either.
Heck, I’m in the process of swapping my Seimitsu buttons for Sanwas in my HRAP 3 SE as is! I just can’t stand regular (PS-14-G) Seimitsu buttons. (To top off that sacrilege, I changed the JLF in my HRAP 2 SA for an LS-32-01. Soon enough I’ll have two SEA sticks! LOL) The only Seimitsu buttons that feel “right” to me are the Pearls… I like the Seimitsu LS-32-01, the bubbletops, and probably would like the LS-40(-01), too, but definitely prefer Sanwa buttons…
When it comes to arcade sticks, “compact” is definitely NOT something you want. Needs to have good size to it, for the sake of comfortable hand placement as well as weight so it remains stable and does not flop around during gameplay.
As well as a decent amount of room on the inside of the case to add weights to it if its not heavy enough.
The VLX however…whoa. Too big. Forget the price, do you need a suitcase to carry this thing around?!
Meh, those who actually own one don’t seem to have the problems the non owners do.
I own 5 of these. I don’t have a problem. However I still think it is flimsy where I mentioned before, but it is a very well built stick.
I finally tried playing with it on my lap too, it’s a bit awkward but that just comes with the territory.
Try holding the panel down when you tighten the screws in. I did this and there is no movement with my panel.
Just received an email from Hori that the sticks will be out by next month.
