the ones that voted no prolly did so knowing that next year’s EVO will most likely be on console. this year didnt have a tournament feel. I mean damn, they had to ask the crowd if they wanted to see them finish the team tournament. and console does suck. I wouldve never guessed we had to sit on a floor to play. but under those circumstances top 8 for me is better than expected. I dont get one thing tho. they made evo console to save time and all, but last year’s EVO ran way smoother. EVO got lucky that Daigo parried all them Chun Li kicks.

I’m pretty sure everyones lack in interest in the MVC2 team tournament wasn’t because it was on console. If you look at the MVC2 final 8, the matches were boring: nothing new was done and justin beasted through the finals. Who the hell wants to see a repeat of that at 1:00 AM. You are right though, last years EVO ran way smoother. Please have all the capcom games on cabinets next year(SRK staff), I bet people would be willing to pay an extra $2 and .25$per match or something towards renting cabinets.
I voted YES and I am hoping to make it next year. As a matter a fact, I am gonna do anything to make it next year.
you saw nothing new because we had to sit on the damn floor to play. besides seeing new stuff is non existant in almost every other game anyway. but atleast if we didnt have to play on the floor we’d be able to play properly. I had more fun in the hotel playing cards than I did at the tournament. I literally dont feel like I played any MvC2 over the weekend.
Yeah the console feel was lame. I liked last year’s evo way better, it ran smooth and had a tournament feel to it.
As for next years evo, I say definitely do another one, just put it on arcade/cabinets rather than being on the floor/sitting on a chair.
