The 360 pad is so horrible any stick is a big improvement.
This may change when SFIV pad comes out.

A decent stick would be 10 x better then the 360 pad. They just don’t know how to make a good pad. Street Fighter is not on my purchase list anymore after I tried HD remix with this 360 pad… it’s HORRIBLE. Your moves don’t come out when you want them to. And there’s no way I’m gonna spend $160 for a wired controller and a converter JUST to use my PS2 dual shock pad for a game that cost me $15.
I think I’ll wait for 2009 to come around and see if anything surfaces.
Dude, even the stick ON the 360 controller is better than the default D-Pad. Kinda annoying to use, but when you’re going up against a D-Pad that hits the casing it’s in, ANYTHING is better.

An arcade stick will make a world of difference.
I wold use SNES pads now if I had one that hooks up to my XBOX.
Im pretty new to sticks Ive been on a stick for less than a year and I say its ALOT better than the 360 pad. If I was using pad I would take the SNES over the 360 all day.

Yeeeeah… the 360 pad is pretty bad. It’s sort of disappointing considering they went from bad (original Xbox controller, “Duke”) to actually playable (original Xbox controller S), to horrible again (360 pad).
Was the Xbox controller S’s dpad better than the 360 one?
I was always under the impression the 360 pad was modeled pretty closely off the S (never owned an Xbox).
