If you land an aerial and your Synergy Gauge runs out just before you go for the follow up, you lag and can’t confirm the hit. Your combo drops. The opponent can block or punish what’s supposed to be a true combo.

I figured out what other game this one reminds me of.
I get sort of a Naruto Gekito Ninja Taisen (or Clash of Ninja if you prefer) vibe from it. Obviously there are differences, but that has helped me adjust both to the controls and the pace of the game.
Clearly I said I don’t put much stock into Esam saying that Weavile is the best. That’s not the point and I don’t even agree. The point is that, since the word is he’s the best, ZeRo chose to main him. My annoyance with this is an extension of my annoyances with what he did in Smash: Pick whoever “the best” is, ride it out until nerf, pick the next best, rinse/repeat. Then he complains about his characters getting nerfed when all he does is jump to whoever’s at the top of the tier list. It’s some punk ass shit.
Edit: That’s another thing, actually… Not even a week in and he’s already tier-whoring . Won’t be surprised if he picks up Shadow Mewtwo because of that infinite.
