ok im new and I just started to play with A-Groove. My team is Kyo, Terry, and Chun-Li. CAn anyone post some good CC’s for them. And when I can activate into CC’s when im doing a certain move.

Currently my team is (Sakura -Bison - Ken2) I wan wondering if you have and basic strats with Sak and Bison. Also IF POSSIBLE strats against…Cammy Bison Sagat and Blanka…with Sak and Bison Mucho Appreciated!

Keep away with st. RH
Build meter with st. strong
Pressure with cr. short x2 xx forward hurricane kick and cr. jab, st. fierce xx strong fireball
Crossup with forward kick.
Bison
Build meter with cr. forward and fierce demon reversal
Keep away with cr. forward, st. strong, or cr. fierce/strong
Anti air with st. fierce, sometimes cr. fierce
Pressure with cr. forward x2 into one hit scissors, cr. jab x2, st. strong xx one hit scissors. etc.
crossup with RH, sometimes forward kick
If you have meter, try to get as many setups into CC as possible.
Sakura Vs. Cammy
Keep her away with st. RH, and RC fireball through whatever she throws at you, she can’t do shit. Bait pokes so you can RC through them.
Sakura Vs. Bison
Punish with st. RH, get a crossup setup into a pressure string. Bait a PC to punish

There aren’t really any other cc’s.
Try to use Cammy, Chun is okay in A. Maki is okay, Nako is pretty good. Vice is good.
So probably your best choices are Mai, Cammy, Nako, Vice, and Athena. The rest are kinda bleh, know what i mean?

General gameplay tip for today:
Not really related to A groove but I found this out today.
For Akuma, after you connect cr. short, short hurricane:
Do strong command roll, notice how it crosses up.
But instead,
Tap back ever so slightly, and do strong command roll after, it will look like it will crossup, but doesn’t. The lighter you tap back, the less obvious the command roll seems it won’t crossup. But no matter how hard you tap back, as long as back is tapped it won’t crossup.

Not sure if this setup is old or not, but anyway.
A-Bison :
close cr. jab, cr. short, short scissor kick, activate, st. strong, RH scissor, st. strong, RH scissor, until corner, you know already.
This setup works at any distance from anywhere on the screen. The only time it doesn’t work is if you time the st. strong wrong.
It’s basically any close 2 hits into short scissors.

i do roundhouse into scissors to corner… but the timing is strict… id rather do superjump hkx3…
my questions: these are really noobie and i know this shit has been answered tenthousand times… but yet i wanna know for myself…
1: dont tell me how you spin the stick or shit, but tell me HOW you hold the stick for the shoshosho when you’re on the left… i can do it consistent on the left side… hell i even got to 34 hit combo with mp uppercut X_x this is how i hold my stick: side of my hand rests on the arcade pad, i keep my pink beneath the stick and with my ring, middle- and indexfinger i hold my joystick and my thumb is on top of the ball… any tips on how to hold it… or how to o it with this way of holding it?
2: why is mp uppercut better? i think i see the japanese do it… it gets more hits in doesnt it?
3: whenever i do bisons c.lp, c.lp, c.mk xx scissors i can never time the activation so i never combo it… which scissors do i have to use, which one is easier to activate-combo in, and can i mash on activation or not?
4: im searching for a battery… and i use iori… but i hate his ground combo… just like with chun-li… i hate that shit thats why i always do the anti-air CC way easier, and i dont make as much errors in doing forward+mp x17 X_x… do you suggest another character, like cammy perhaps? or should i try to pick-up blanka and make the o, so wonderful sak/bison/blanka team? i can play blanka so it aint that big a deal… but i dunno… i like sakura with meter… her CC is too easy… when facing left though… i do like blanka though… and i know he does 10000 dmg easily… but what are his ways to activate in? random… and you have elec…? right
btw i like rolento… i use him as my battery for now… but i know cvs2 is just TOO far ahead to say a-rolento can still rep up against top-tiers and shit… but i think a-rolento should be everyone’s first a-character… dunno he has a pretty easy CC and you learn everything from it… the way to press the buttons… roundhouse, scootjer jump shit… when someone blocks how to try to gaurd break him, etc…

I do it 2 different ways depending on direction.
Facing Right : I “palm” the stick. I rest the palm of my hand at the upper left hand corner of the stick and roll the stick in my palm. Makes circles.

It should be MK scissors. Then activate, st. jab, etc.
For that setup its easier to do MK scissors.
For the setup I posted before, short scissors.
In corner, short scissors.
Mashing on activation i guess is okay, but it might make you miss the right timing.
