Anytime Ken lands a lvl 1 Shinryuken in the corner (maybe even out), he is in perfect position for the most BULLSHIT ambiguous crossup in the game. A pixel adjustment here or there makes the crossup switch which side it is going to hit on… but Ken lands on the crossup side afterwards no matter what, AND he can combo after it no matter what. The BS thing about it is that even the Ken player can mess it up and because the thing is so random it will still usually work. It makes Ken one of the most feared characters in the game now.

ah thanks i guess i beast too hard on CC’s, i’m used to mvc2 where most of them i push 5 buttons at once then they’ll all come out in order. is it possible to vary like butt butt belly belly butt to be flashy? i can only get it sometimes not sure if it’s possible all the time

Hmmm. Seeing all the characters you guys mention about having good A grooves, Id like to share a few weird characters I use to decent efficiency. I still can’t do bison’s and blankas A groove yet because I have a problem linking the CC into the air with either 3 fierce punches or 3 fierce kicks. Personally I use Terry, Geese, and Ken in A groove. Im sure we all know Ken’s CC. But amazingly, Geese and Terry’s CC does insane amounts of damage as well. For terry I can start it off by cr.RK, Roundhouse crack shot, St.FP, FP Burn knuckle, St. FP, FP Burn knuckle, St.FP, FP burnknuckle, FP rising tackle, Buster wolf, FP rising tackle. And for geese, I either start it with a cr.mk, st FP, st FP, st.HK… or st.FP, st.FP, cr.FP, st.HK… the middle part of the combo consists of 2 repeats of st.FP, st.FP, cr.FP, st.HK then lk jaieken 3 times for 2 hits each, then rising storm. I’d like some feedback on these combos if you guys can please. Thanks.

The Terry CC u have listed sounds okay. Kinda hard to picture, as long as it does above 7000 damage ur okay. You should probably start it with cr. MK, then go from that. If the cr. RH is blocked, where do u go from there?
Same with the Geese one. Good i suppose as long as it does above 7000 damage.

Okay, as far as I came up with there are 18(I can only remember 13 at the moment-i’ll post the others when i remember)

Note
In the air you can only hit opponents 3 times.
example:
cr. RH, short hurricane(if it hits twice),activate…(if it hits once do another short hurricane=3 hits.

1)Most basic setup.
cr. RH, short hurricane(see note above), activate

2)cr. short x2, st. short, RH demon flip, punch grab, short hurricane, activate.

3)cr. jab, st. jab, forward demon flip, punch grab, short hurricane, activate.

4)jump in RH hurricane, short hurricane, activate.

5)Anti air jab DP, walk forward a little, activate, short hurricane x2, st. fierce, etc.

6)st. jab, activate, st. fierce, fierce red fireball(if it hits)-RH demon flip…etc(the rest of the cc)
(If it doesn’t)-RH demon flip, punch grab, short hurricane, etc.

7)jump in activate through an attack, fierce DP, cancel into short hurricane after 2 hits…etc

8)On Sagat- Jab Dp , walk forward, activate, cr. fierce, RH demon flip…etc

9)In corner-fierce air fireball, dash up, st. forward, fierce red fireball, jab dp x2, activate, st. jab, red fireball…repeat.

10)Anti air with upward hurricane(down, down+back,back,up+back, up…a reverse C) activate when u land, st. fierce… etc.

11)Anti air grab with demon flip punch grab, land, short hurricane, activate.

  1. Jab air fireball(must hit their feet), dash in, cr. RH, short hurricane, activate.

13)(Mixup for all setups with a demon flip in it after activation)-short demon flip, land,(if it hits):short hurricane, st. fierce…etc.
(If it doesn’t): cr. forward, fierce red fireball, quick cancel into RH demon flip, punch grab, short hurricane…etc

:CC for a blocked Blanka ball:

Block it high, activate, fierce crossup fireball(tiger knee fireball), cr. forward, fierce red fireball, cancel into RH demon flip, punch grab, short hurricane …etc…
(Kinda risky if opponent has meter, but, it has good mixup possibility)-(Example:after the RH demon flip, if they try to anti air, do fierce, RH hurricane, fierce red fireball. If they block high trip them with the demon flip, short hurricane,etc. If they do nothing, punch grab, short hurricane…etc.)

  1. In close…
    activate, fierce DP cancel into short hurricane…repeat…the hurricane kick recovers fast enough to do a DP in time again.

  2. in close…
    cr. forward, red fireball x2, RH demon flip…repeat (has the same mixup possibility as the Blocked Blanka ball setup)

i can do sakura’s shosho A groove when im on the left side of the screen going right

but when im on the right side going left i barely get to 14 before i mess up?

and ideas on why i might be messing up on that side? and anything i can do to correct it besides just alot of practice =/?

I can’t think of any reason why you could be having problems, it could be anything. You’re too use to doing Dps one way compared to the other, anything.
You might want to try putting ur hand in a different position when doing it in the left direction.
I do the same thing…
When im going right, I put my palm on the top of the stick and move the stick in little oval shaped movements. When im going left, I rest my hand on the cabinet and move my hand very slowly and smoothly. While holding the stick normally.

put the stick between ur pinkie and ur 4th finger (dunno what its called…) … from there just make a fist not really grrr-fist but just a fist and u actually make a qcf movement when ur facing right going to the left… seriously it helped me alot with geting out super linked and shit… when facing left i hold the stick the same… just move ur wrist then…

ring finger.

you don’t have to put it in between there I put it in between my middle and ring finger.

try just holding it as low as you can while still feeling comfortable. that makes the motions faster and easier.
