First of all i’d like to say thank you to everyone who reached the playgrounds tournament on thanksgiving it was an amazing day and thanks to your support on such notice, the promise of great prizes is definately happening the week of November 7/8th at Poker expo.

These prizes are around the same what people got at fan expo. The person who won first at the smash tournie at fan expo got approximately $1200 in store credit from zellers so expect something similar in that regard for first. If this sounds too good to be true, just go on smashboards.com and talk to either Kingace, Silverdoc, or Nickcam these were all of our prize winners from the smash tournament there.

As for the entry fee it is a bit steep at $25 but the actual entry to the tournament itself is only 15, its 10 dollar for venue which gets you into the poker tournament for free. The first prize for Poker is an automatic $10 000 buy in to the world series with hotel and flight included.

Personally i will be out of town this weekend, so for the people who met me at playgrounds last event, sorry I am not running it but other staff members of playgrounds will and they will make sure to provide the consoles and the TVs like last time. It will be a BYOC event so goodluck to all who enter and hopefully we see someone from SRK winning the poker tournie there and winning that $10000 buy in.

As for the actual schedule, most likely the SF4 tournament will be on the saturday and halo3 will be spread across both days. I will get back to everyone on that

Street Fighter 4 (Xbox360)
$25 entry (15 into the tournament and 10 into venue which includes entry into the poker tournament happening that day.
double elimination tournament
2 out of 3 games per match
3 out of 5 games per semi final match
4 out of 7 games grand finals

TBH i think the console characters may be locked still, but we could do it like last tournament and have people bring hard drives again.

Do I have to pay the 5$ poker entry? I don’t know how to play nor care for poker. So I see this is a bit odd for people in my situation.

$10 is for venue not poker. Its just saying you get free entry into the tournament.

sorry been really busy with school, i’m pretty sure if you win the tourney, you yourself have to go as it will be a contract kind of thing, i’m unsure of the details as i’m not running the poker tournament.

$10 is for venue (its the cost of buying a ticket to get into the venue)

SF4 will most likely be run on saturday and for 1 day only because there are plenty of setups available and i’m sure with 8 setups we would be done in a day easily. Personally i won’t be available to run this tournament though, its my grandmas birthday this weekend, some other representative from playgrounds should be running it though.

most likely both days if you make it that far i guess. For sure it should be on saturday though. I think you’ll also be able to meet a few poker celebs there just check out the poker expo website.
