Haxorus was pure Dragon.
Goodra being pure dragon was a let down for me. I was hoping for a Dragon/Fairy typing. Come on, Dota did it.
That would make the E4 kind of pointless no?
I’d love a couple changes;
More gyms in a generation.
Non-story gyms where you can maybe get a certain TM or item for defeating them.
Like you said, strategy based gyms. I’d kill for a Trick Room or weather based gym, that’d be fantastic.
Additionally, I’d love some earlier Ghost/Ice/Fighting types to make monotype runs easier and a bit more fun. Thankfully I don’t have to worry about Fighting types this gen, but I’ve always wanted to be able to do a proper Ice/Ghost mono run.
On the contrary, I think I would make the Elite 4 more of a challenge because of the team lock. Before a gym leader, you can always just stack up your team with counters to their stuff.
And Haxorus isn’t a Pseudo-legend.
Dragonite, Tyranitar, Metagross, Salamence, Garchomp and Hydreigon are all pseudo-legends. They’re part of a 3 stage family, are dual-typed, and have BSTs of 600.

Haxorus also had a higher base attack than everything mentioned, his attack is damn near Zekrom’s attack power…
He wasn’t given a BST of 600 because he was purely offensive… if he was given that amount of base stats, he would be OP…
He’s packing where it counts(no homo)…
Who knows, though. Maybe Goodra will be the exception. But another type wouldn’t hurt. Still looks like a Dragon/Fairy to me.
He’s also lacking where it counts. Speed. And seeing as Kyurem-B has better stats than Haxorus and has been shown it isn’t OP, I wouldn’t be the case with Haxorus either.
Nope. Pure Dragon, so probably an exception. From the stats, Goodra is defensive instead of offensive, so it will be different there too assuming its BST is 600.
