For the first time after 5 gens I am going to choose a starter other than Fire. Greninja is too cool. Water Shuriken! Fuuuuu… Even if the move is competitively mediocre the name and concept alone makes my peepee hard.

Eh, I’ve been all over the place with my starter choices. It basically boils down to whomever I can use to ROFLstomp the Gym leaders with.

Gen 1: Bulbasaur/Squirtle
Gen 2: Cyndaquil/Totodile
Gen 3: Umm Mudkip
Gen 4: Turtwig

The creators did say they wanted the starters to follow traditional RPG archetypes, and looks like we got them: A Paladin, a Mage, and a Rogue/Ninja… Very cool.

Won’t learn it until either the third version/sequels or next gen. Those a signature moves for the starters, and it usually takes a while for those to get passed around.

I’ve always been a water type kind of guy and I’m kind of salty that blastoise isn’t getting the x & y treatment like my boy charizard. Maybe cuz i always knew it was kind of op since I was a kid but whatever… I want downpour as my ability! Venusaur too needs this x & y treatment… I guess, bastard is already good. I’m guessing charizard and mewtwo are getting it because of Pokemon the origin.

i saw somewhere that charizardnite (the item) doesn’t have X or Y after it, meaning that mega evos could be linked to each version permanently

so there could be an X and Y version for each mega poke
