The extra bulk rarely helps you enough to actually matter. It’s like going Bold Gengar or Alakazam. They’re still frail no matter how much you invest in their Defense. Might as well boost the stats they’re good at.
In Mewtwo’s case, I’d actually argue that it could work, because it actually has a workable HP stat.
Alakazam and Gengar are not only frail, but they have pitiful HP stats, meaning no matter how much you invest in defenses, they still can’t take many hits because they don’t have any HP to pool from.
mewtwo will beat anything in game anyway. i guess a ghost/dark will be immune to psychic/fighting coverage…

True, Mewtwo does have pretty nice bulk for an offensive mon. Of course when you’re fighting in Ubers, where most things have at least base 150 attacking stats, you’ll hardly notice it.

Mewtwo’s too powerful and his movepool is too big. You’d be hard pressed to find something that can switch in and take a hit without him at least 2HKOing it. And with the amount of switches he forces, he can just get up a Calm Mind to ensure nothing will live the next hit. His only real downside is that he can’t run every move at once, but otherwise, he’s perfect. You can’t counter him, but you can check him/revenge kill him.
Good God. I like Blame Truth’s Showdown vids cause he provides information on the meta game and shit in a quick manner. I gave “Shofu” a try cause I see him referenced here alot and goddamn that man has to mention EVERY single tiny thing that goes on. Like I can see what’s going on man, you don’t have to tell me.
Can’t assume everyone that watches him is a Competitive Battler that knows what’s happening all the time… A lot of people are watching him to learn, and he does a damn good job of teaching.

Y’all overrate perfect IVs too much… Speed is the only truly important one, seeing as how a difference of a single point is enough to lose matches. HP is next important due to survivability percentages. The attacking/defensive stats don’t need max*(certainly doesn’t hurt, however)*, especially if you’re using some type of stat-boosting move…
Nature/EVs have a much larger influence over your stats than IVs do.

I just had one shiny Staryu, but I traded it for an Yveltal.
It was Modest, too… It had Illuminate for its Ability, however.
I’ve been trading Dratini for Yveltal/Xerneas for shinies all day… Got just about all the fishing shinies I care about, except Staryu.

I can trade you one of my spare Klefkis if you’d like. I think the ones I have have perfect Defense and Special Defense IVs (the Defense and Special Defense Stat on the level 1 Klefkis are 7 rather than 6, not sure if that’s a definitive yes to it having perfect IVs in that stat though). The nature may not be the one you’d want though.
