Pokemon X and Y: Aftermath (GEN 6 Discussion, Tier Talk, Breeding, Meganite)

Yeah, Pokemon doesn’t get the “Ultimate Edition” treatment. BW2 was a different game from BW1. Just buy the game.

After BW2, you can’t take the next game for granted. No guarantee of Z.

Like I was telling my friend who has been on the fence for years, NOW is the perfect time for new peeps to come in, especially if you haven’t played since RBY.

Even longtime vets have a ton of shit to learn/relearn.
You don’t have to worry about the hyper-competitive douchebaggery that comes with simulators(at least for the first few months) because no one can bring over their level 100, perfectly trained monstrosities until the Bank App releases in late December.

Last PKMN game I played was Diamond

My last one was SS. Platinum actually had really big changes to it though didn’t it? Emerald too. Actually all the merged ones had a monumental schtick.

Man, I’ve played a game from every single Pokemon generation to date, and I still probably don’t even comprehend half of the depth some of these games have. X and Y is gonna bring it to a whole 'nother level.

Sometimes you guys talk about underlying mechanics that I didn’t even know existed, so I still have a lot to learn. Not even including the fact that I know absolutely NOTHING about structured competitive play…

Aggron is also one of my long time favorites. I knew that cute little aron I caught back in eighth grade was gonna turn into a power house someday.

If its not smogon approved then you aren’t playing right!

My aggron rocked with me from Ruby. Saved my ass. My Flygon/Salemence for honorable mention haha.

Was Fygon ever good competitively? I have no idea.

Flygon was a beast in Gen III, then Garchomp came out and stole its thunder.

Flygon is still good, its just somewhat outclassed by faster, more powerful Dragons. Flygon is a bro and my best friend still swears by it even today.

Hey, no Thancruz mode here. Keep it to SFxT.

I have always wanted to get into competitive Pokemon but never did. This would be the best time to start since the mega evolutions are going to change things up right?

Big time.

Was it just me or did anyone else have to have their starter pokemon at the highest level out of their line up. Like if even my pokes were even close to outleveling my serperior, mofo had to take a back seat, BAD DARMANITAN! And looking back unfezant was one ugly pokemon lol.

It’s clear you haven’t played much of the games since GSC…

Pokemon Emerald added Battle Tents and Emerald and Platinum added
Battle Frontier.

Pokemon Black/ White 2 added a shit ton like World Tournament, the Theater/ Hollywood thingy, Hidden Grottoes, access to previous gen Pokemon during the initial playthroughs, Join Avenue, etc.

Skipping “Z” would be a mistake. It’ll be the SAME game but with MORE content. That’s why I’m waiting.

I’m definetly getting this game. meta aggron???

aaahhhhhhhh

For the longest time I would always make my starter so strong that he could beat the gym leader’s pokemon, as well as all of their trainer’s pokemon in one run. I’d still catch other Pokemon, but my starter was always so buff and my other 5 pokemon were left in the dust by comparison lol. Having a level 3 evolution before I even reach the third gym.

Probably gonna be the same case with my Froakie though…dat Water/Dark, man. One of the sickest combinations I’ve ever seen.

Pokemon with pursuit can also give Gengar a hard time if they can tank his hit…

If Mega T-Tar has Sandstream, he might be able to tank a mega Gengar hit… since he has no hold item…

Oh my damn this is a nice shiny

Also, guys keep in mind, when you get a Pokemon you intend to use for your team, just spend the 30-60 minutes to EV train it right away.
