gengar shouldn’t use dark pulse or psychic, dark pulse has pretty much identical coverage to shadow ball while also not receiving STAB, anything would be better over dark pulse. psychic doesn’t hit anything that he can’t deal with himself, namely fighting types (who want no business switching into him), just give him subsititute. use sludge wave over venoshock, while venoshock may seem cool, it relies way too much the opponent being poisoned, sludge wave is a better choice.
flare blitz over infernape provides him with a much stronger stab move, making him that much harder to switch into. the rest is fine, keep close combat, it’s still crazy strong and a fighting move
while usually double fire types are bad, i’ll just double over what r00ster said, fire fang is pathetically weak, just use flare blitz (it has just under double the power of fire fang, so what about the recoil, bash peoples skulls in)
don’t use shadow sneak on gallade, it’s laughably weak and doesn’t actually provide anything except a way to break focus sash (which most of the time, you would still lose to). stone edge provides much better coverage
the one clear flaw i see with your team is the over abundance of physical attackers, while this isn’t usually a problem, your group has a lot of redundant coverage (meaning they are all handled similarly and deal with similar pokemon). i’d suggest changing it up so that something like rotom doesn’t come in and invalidate half your team right off the bat
It’s not a team as of yet just Pokemon that I managed to get the IV’s for first. Now that I received the 6 IV Ditto I’m working on the other Pokemon I want to build teams.
Alright, I have a ton of crap I need to start trading off already. If anyone needs any of the following, let me know. They will all have plenty of 4 IVs and I can easily go breed for extra 5 IVs.
Adamant Gale Wings Fletchling
Calm Rotom
Modest Gooey Goomy
Modest Ralts
Adamant Technician Scyther
Jolly Meditite
Timid Protean Froakie (a lot with HP Grass)
On deck for me to breed.
Jolly Skill Link Cloyster
Timid Noibat
Jolly Mold Breaker Axew
And these would take a bit longer but I can get them done within a couple of days (due to Level up for other pokes needed)
Bold Aura Sphere Blastoise
Adamant Dragon Dance Tyranitar
(Hunh. My Rain team kinda sucks. Lapras seems like dead weight, especially since apparently Heal Bell is illegal with everything I want to use. Thanks for the clarity, PokemonShowdown.)
I think I’m going to screw around with a Scrappy Pangoro team since r00ster22 brought the bear up. I’m probably going to use Circle Throw in the last spot over Stone Miss and no-more-Garchomp-talk-about-it Poison Jab. Fairies won’t be a problem if they get tossed the fuck out and land on rocks repeatedly.
Besides the Dragonite thing, I’d argue that Arcanine is better known for being a surprisingly good, awesome-looking tank. So what he really needs is more reliable (read: non-weather dependent) recovery like Slack Off, though that might make him a tad too obnoxious. Don’t need to create another “must have on every team” pokemon like Scizor or Rotom-Wash or Genosect or Aegislash.
I think Extremespeed could stand more distribution though, especially on naturally faster Pokemon that are lacking in good moves.
looks at Rapidash
Just keep it the fuck away from things that get STAB on it. Arceus lost STAB on Extremespeed and that thing still fucking massacres with it in Ubers after a single Swords Dance.
shudders at the idea of Zangoose, Stoutland or Diggersby getting Extremespeed
