This badass little crustacean uses its massive claw to create shockwave bubbles that it fires like bullets to disable and capture prey.
The speed and power which they close the claw creates massive heat within the bubble(up to 4,700°C, aka really fucking hot) and a loud “snapping” sound that is on par with the beluga and sperm whale for the title of loudest creature in the ocean(up to 218 decibels). This is enough heat and pressure to disable/kill small fish and the bubble also creates its own light from the massive heat and pressure.
So, yeah, Clauncher’s a bad ass.
Now back to Pokémon… I still need dat Reckless Starly, and whoever is handing out Larvitar, Speed Boost Venipede and da gawd of trolls Cottonee- Hit me up. I’ll be breeding Egg Moves onto the starters for trades.
Which reminds me… if any of you dudes have the 5th gen starters(Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott) I need those dudes.

Squirtle with Skull Bash, Rain Dance, Hydro Pump, and Aqua Jet, Drought Vlupix with Ember, Heat Wave, and Flare Blitz, Outrage Charmander, Shed Skin Seviper with Wrap, Swagger and Night Slash, all of whom are level one, and will be holding a heart scale. I’ll check IVs for any of them that you are interested in.

I find it a bit weird that we haven’t gotten a massively defensive crustacean yet. I mean, we haven’t, have we? I don’t think I’m forgetting one and all the crustacean-esque Pokemon we have are generally mons with huge attack power rather than defensive ability. It’s mostly other shelled things that get defense for some reason if even that.
