@S00perCam Added. Also looking for Serene Grace Togepi/Dunsparce. Either one is fine, but both is also grand. I feel like bodying my friend with Dunsparce/Gimmicky stall. If anyone has a Super Luck Togepi, I will give you all of the Luvdiscs for it.
(Since the other Pokemon thread is currently on page 2, I’ll just put this here.)
Man, I may be rusty as hell, on a dinosaur of a computer and easily distracted, but trolling already easily angered people with Torment Heatran is still as amusing as ever, especially when they manage to lose games they should have won: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-76125975
I really need to get used to Fairy being weak to Steel, though. For some reason I keep thinking it’s weak to Dark when it’s the opposite.
Not that I disbelieve you, but…source? I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere in my research as of yet.
Thanks, Saitsu.
Hunh. I’m…really not sure how feel about this legendary trio, especially since it’s easily the weirdest legendary trio ever. I mean, they don’t share types, they don’t look anything like and their names aren’t even similar or at least somewhat related. Honestly, if you just showed me these three without saying they were a legendary trio, then I wouldn’t think they were related at all. Additionally, as much as I feel that much of the Generation V’s designs, including the genies, were kinda lazy, I’m not liking Diancie’s design at least and Hoopa’s design currently has me ambivalent.
Water-Heatran’s design and type is the most appealing, which is part of the problem, really. He/she/it seems to far outstrip the other two in terms of signature move and typing, especially with regards to latter given that the other two have quadruple weaknesses–hell, Hoopa has two quadruple weaknesses to Ghost and Dark (yay, Pursuit-bait).
It’s also not helping my opinion of Diancie that Diamond Storm being special would have been far more interesting and possibly even more useful given the utter paucity of Rock-typed special attacks. We’ve only had three since Generation IV and the past two generation obviously haven’t added any. I would have even taken it having gotten a signature Fairy physical attack given the only one currently is Play Rough.
Oh well. They’re still interesting I suppose, so thanks again.
(I’m too lazy look back through the entire thread to see if Pokemon Origins got talked about, but…)
I finally watched it and, aside from a few things like Giovanni’s overall design and them being blunt about Team Rocket killing that Cubone’s mother, I was more or less disappointed. It wasn’t bad, per se, and all the skipping about over the other non-Giovanni, non-Johnny-Yong-Bosch-voiced gym leaders and such was necessary. It just felt…lacking I guess. Even as crappy as the still on-going Pokemon anime has doubtless become in most instances, I guess I’m just more use to theire being more of an “emotional bond” between the pokemon and Ash/Red. As much as Red was utterly about Giovanni viewing pokemon as tools and as much as Red obviously “loved” Charizard, Charizard’s the only Pokemon of his that we actually got to know. As such, it rubbed me the wrong way that he was basically catching Pokemon just to have them, even if it was to help Professor Oak. This especially since he basically showed to beat crap out of Mewtwo without even bothering see if Mewtwo could communicate–I’m still used to movie Mewtwo I guess.
(It also bothered me that it was essentially a lengthy advertisement for Mega Charizard, though that wasn’t at all surprising.)
I was surprised to see a Rapidash shown beside Red when he went after Articuno, though. Rapidash seems to be one of the many older Pokemon that have been utterly ignored when it comes to getting logical updated abilities that would do a lot up to its modern value. For instance, why the hell hasn’t it gotten one of the instances of Speed Boost they seem to love handing out to random shit like Mega Ultrachicken?
See also: Scrappy Miltank still not having Rapid Spin despite being famous for Rollout (and crushing dreams with Attract and Stomp).
It’s extremely weird to see a match where neither side has Rapid Spin. I’m a bit surprised that Blissey’s fat-ass hasn’t been given Rapid Spin either since she gets like every other non-unique support move.
Congrats on winning though and, hey, you helped someone improve their team a bit, even if it was unintentional.
Ew you watched the english dub? the translation was fucked.
Which brings me to my next issue with Nintendo, it’s 2014 alter the fucking flaps at this point stop trying to write around them, fucking teamfourstar does that shit for free pay a dude to do it.
