Obviously it’s not real, but they’re still underaged, fictional or no. You can keep trying to twist this to make it seem less fucked up than it is, but no amount of cop outs are gonna change the fact that damn near everyone who isn’t a clear adult is a child.

Like I said they dont have a age in the game, so they can be any age at all. For all we know Ash is like 35. And also they would have to have aged also, because there is a older version of Misty.
The characters do not age in Pokemon. Not in the anime, at least. That’s been a trait of the series since the beginning. Ash is forever 10.
Misty aged 3 years at most in G/S/C because Gen 2 takes place after Gen 1. If Ash and her were around the same age, that only puts her between 13 and 15. Their ages don’t clearly change in the show.
So tell me how old is everyone in the game? Cause they never give there age.

The ones who aren’t clear adults like Cynthia, Lance, Claire, etc are usually between the ages of 10 and 16. Sometimes they’re even younger than that. No, they don’t state their ages, but it isn’t hard to tell.
Note, the majority of characters are meant to be relatable to the intended audience. That’s the reason Ash doesn’t age. Considering this is a children’s show…yea.
