Pokemon General Discussion Thread - It's Lit(ten)!

@Kaboxx I can jump online in like 10-15 mins, tell me if you can still do it, if not we can do it later tonight. I need like 6 pokes cloned, you can keep a copy of whatever you like

Dragon tail is more for the team than itself. As soon as people see serp, they switch in scrubbird/charx/y to stop the potential sweep/leaf storm barrage. I already got the dragon tail sent for the switch in. So now they’ve already taken one stealth rock coming in, after getting dragon tail out, it forces the rapid spinner in. I’m comfortable dealing with them as most of them are either water and slower or not strong enough defensively to hold me back (excadrill). Only one that could give me problems after that might be forretress but it has no offensive presence.

Also, another common switch in to serp is a dragon (especially sap sipper goodra). Dragon tail is waiting for them too.

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

But that’s just how I use it. Haven’t done a lot of testing but it’s done well for my team with that thought process.

I still fear ninjafrog. I hope I get a screen up first I guess.

@kaboxx where u at bro?

@‌locoghoul

Sorry bro i forgot D:, but im on and will be for the next 4 hours or so!!

How do you rematch trainers? I really want to get a Destiny Knot and I’d rather not have to go through Master Rank Contests quite yet.

are you still available?

So I found out there’s a official pokemon league tcg/etc near my house finally after a 14 year absence…

Tomorrow from 5-7…

Hype meter: Mega Man boss meter sound plays llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

Hype train leaves at 4pm tomorrow!!! CHOO CHOOO WHOOOO WHOOOOO!!!

Finally…

2015 has heavily redeemed itself so far with this!!!

You can get Destiny Knot from the couple at Sea Mauville.

Rematching people takes maybe 10-15 minutes after the last battle. Try going in and out of doors or doing other stuff while you wait. They gave me Destiny Knot after the 3rd rematch.

I was aware of who gave it out, I just couldn’t get them to rematch me hence my question.

And now I’m getting annoyed. The wrong pair in Sea Mauville keeps coming up for a rematch. I can’t get the Couple to come up for some reason.

Loco sorry bro i was out by then… ill be on tomorrow same time

Okay…after way too long, finally got the Destiny Knot (…and Lugia) so I’m back in Breeding mode. Now time to get dat Snivy and seriously, anyone have an HA Skrelp/Dragalgae?

I have plenty of HA Snivy from my breeding.

I have a few with HP ice, just got one with HP ground. Still working on HP fire…

Woohoo! Got dat thick fat Tepig. Time to breed for that trade bait!!

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

Maybe I’ll even make one for myself.

Does anyone got a HA Skrelp? Anybody? Please?

And I’m still undecided on what Nature I want Heatran to be before I head into the long…arduous grind of capturing him with the right Nature.

TIS save me one of those and Contrary Snivy… I’ll try to hit up my Pokemon Bank and see what all I have for trading, so let me know if you need anything in particular.

I need me one of them Tepigs. I’m gonna breed egg moves onto that sucker.

Is heavy slam viable on steelix?

Heavy Slam is probably mandatory if it’s Mega Steelix.

(comes back to see all the chaos wrought by asking such a simple question

Excellent. [/Mr. Burns])

On that starter note, since people are mentioning Tepig alongside Snivy now and I’ve been thinking about could be done “legitimately” to make Delphox better, I’ve another question that’s probably equally contentious: How would people rank the starters within their primary typing?

I guess we now have to count Megas too, which kind of fucks up things, but I’m just going to count them as separate entities, especially since Charizard’s stupid ass got two for no legitimate reason beyond popularity. I’m tempted to count certain abilities–coughSpeed Boostcough–as separate as well, but that just seems overly complicated. These are meant to be in order from best to worst:

Fire starters: Mega-Blaziken, Mega-Charizard-X, Mega-Charizard-Y, regular Blaziken, Infernape, Typholsion, Delphox, Emboar, regular Charizard.

Water starters: Greninja, Mega-Swampert, Mega-Blastoise, regular Swampert, regular Blastoise, Empoleon, Feraligat(o)r, Samurott.

Grass starters: Mega-Venusaur, Mega-Sceptile, Chesnaught, regular Venusaur, regular Sceptile, Torterra, Serperior, Meganium.

I’m not really sure about Delphox onward when it comes to Fire and I now very little about the fifth generation pokemon, but the others I think are accurate. That said, Samurott may be better than Feraligat(o)r since Samurott apparently gets Swords Dance and Megahorn while Feraligat(o)r still lacks the Strong Jaw ability it’s nigh-inevitable Mega will likely get.

Shrug.

Your opinions?

What Saitsu said. Otherwise I’d personally just go with Gyro Ball since even regular Steelix is glacially slow and yet regular Steelix likely isn’t going to have to deal with slow-ass Mega-Sableye getting in the way of its set-up since being Support is the best thing it can do unfortunately.

is still annoyed about how Mega-Steelix is probably the worst new Mega

Sigh. Fucking useless Sand Force.

I’d put nape before blaze blaziken and maybe empoleon over regular blastoise
