(Hunh. I thought Contrary Serperior was already legal. That’s what I get for not touching the games in a while.)
It’s a shame Serperior doesn’t get anything to actually abuse it besides Leaf Storm though, which I don’t think is exactly…enough.
Still, I guess it at least makes Serperior a better Grass starter than Meganium now…not that that’s exactly difficult as much as I’ve always wanted to like Chikorita’s line.
I think bayleef with eviolite is better then serperior.
(That wouldn’t be surprising. I don’t necessarily disagree even with what I commenting on.)
Still, Serperior being not-worse/not-as-bad as Meganium is at least marginally something.
Anyway, speaking of Coil, I’m still trying to think of a set for Milotic that can make up with it and the best one seems like a mixed set of Scald/Dragon Tail/Coil and either Rest or Recover with Leftovers and Marvel Scale. Shrug.

Reckless Emboar seems like it would be okay too. At least it won’t be the worst starter ever released now. That title goes to Samurott these days imo.
I see somebody forgot that Meganium is a thing.
Torterra sucks ass.
Meganium learns dual screens and leech seed and can run an okay light clay set. Samurott is just booty completely.
Meganium is the worst starter ever. Samurott is a water type making him better than meganium on that alone
Emboar is better than both of them and torterra is better than emboar as well
