Hell I’ve done shiny hunting in the past. I spent a month trying to get a Shiny Giratina in D/P, and the better part of a year hatching Charmander eggs until I got Lucky, the Shiny Charmander.
Even further back, I’ve hatched hundreds of Gastlys trying for a shiny Gengar… I just got one last year thanks to you guys abusing Shiny Values.
It just isn’t worth it to me.
I think shinies are only worth it if you actually want the color pallet, not just the “specialness” of being shiny.
It’s intended to be a christmas gift for a friend who thinks shiny Reshiram is one of the best looking pokemon.
And I’m inclined to agree. Something about the white and the gold and the red eyes instead of the blue is just really neat.

If you want a specific nature why not you the synchronize ability? Didnt know this til yesterday but any poke wirh synchro thats the lead in the party maksz the pokemon you catch have a 50%chance od being that nature. Works on the legendaries aswell. Catch a ralts breed the nature you want ans catch. The shiny stuff is cool I guess, but i wouldn’t spend my free time tryna catch something that may not actually show up.

Smogon trading is kinda like dealing with the devil. You get your perfect shiny but you lose a piece of yourself each time.
