Alright let’s see, breaking down my core concept of my deck.
Obviously want to use Tyrantrum, Chew Up is the main attack. A good majority of decks will use Special Energy and will have it attached so it’s usually hitting for full damage. Combined with a Silver Bangle, he’ll one shot a good majority of EX Mons, and Giga Impact along with a Strong Energy can deal with others. Also being a Stage 2, it’s easy to deal with things like Pyroar.
Downsides however. A lot of Energy Needed, which means it takes a while to get going and is susceptible to Mewtwo and Yveltal. Also, being a Fossil Pokemon will also resemble a challenge (though as long as Tyrunt or Tyrantrum isn’t prized, it’s not too bad due to Researcher).
Also, Tyrantrum is very weak to Yveltal in particular because not only is it going to get easily one shotted by Evil Ball if you aren’t careful, Tyrantrum cannot one shot it back without having both a Strong Energy and Silver Bangle and most likely it’ll have to use Giga Impact to do it. Also cannot one shot Lugia EX without that same setup which can be an issue as well.
Landorus is a good partner to help along some Energy Acceleration though. Hawlucha is fine for free retreat and Jirachi EX is very necessary to search out Researcher in a pinch (or just any Supporter that you need).
A Mr. Mime could potentially be good to avoid getting worked by Lando EX’s Hammerhead. Main weakness I see though is to those flying types, in which case something like a Raichu line could be very helpful. I’d also consider throwing in a Mewtwo EX for good measure but I doubt I’ll be able to procure one.
Oddly enough in my case I actually spent very little on Yugioh over the years. I was able to do decently at locals sticking with Six Samurai for the longest time, it wasn’t until STOR dropped that I ended up spending more money again. I was able to build my full Hieratic deck without spending anything though which was nice.
Pokemon TCG, on the other hand…not sure I want to play a TCG with full set rotations. I don’t want to be forced to buy entire new decks just to keep competing (if that’s not how the set rotations work feel free to correct me).
True man, i wasnt aware pokedecks could go that high. I dropped about 40 bucks and im only missing one ex lucario!
With like 15 bucks you can have a full dino deck. I made the mistake of buying booster and opening them up. Digital boosters are in game money and what people are looking for. Had i known that i would ve saved 20 buck and had the deck finished by now.
Go to the pokemontcgo forums and you can learn how to trade for the good stuff.
And ptcgo.com has digital booster for like 60 cents a piece and you get them instantly emailed to u.
