Altaria has both Return and Hyper Voice which is just…fun as well. That Dragon/Fairy typing too.
Depending on its stat allocation, could be a better Sylveon, just without the Wish Passing.

Hyper Voice/Heal Bell/Roost/Cotton Guard, Calm Nature and everything in SpD. As long as its Physical Defense doesn’t randomly get lowered…(you could also do Return over Hyper Voice and switch Natures there, again depends on Stat Allocation as for now both her Atk and SpA are the same, Hyper Voice has more utility though).

I just realized that Dragon/Flying coverage is REALLY freaking redundant. Like terribly to the point that Mence might have to forgo Dragon coverage altogether. Since EQ already covers where Flying gets resisted for the most part (at least on his Physical Set) does he really need Outrage? Double-Edge hits just as hard (harder actually due to the Aerilate boost), he has Roost for the recoil and it doesn’t lock it in for two turns so Fairies don’t have a free ass switch in.

Oh shit, someone did the calc for a fully invested Scizor BP against a Cotton Guarded Altaria (no Def investment) assuming it goes up to 100 Def (which seems particularly likely at this juncture).
252+ Atk Technician Mega Scizor Bullet Punch vs. +3 252 HP / 0 Def Altaria: 98-116 (27.6 - 32.7%) – 69.9% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery.
Only way I see this thing getting taken down is by MegaVoir and Landorus off the top of my head and that’s a maybe. They have to 2HKO. Better keep your phazers alive.
Mega salamence looks like fucking star scream dragon form.
Oh, and in case you were missing Outrage on Mence…just use Thrash instead. It’s literally a stronger Outrage on Mega Mence with no random immunity.
So either take the recoil from Double Edge(which you can Roost off) or take the lock in from Thrash.
