Plug and Play Headsets at Tournaments

Hey guys I have a question.

My goal is to be able to connect a headset to an Xbox/PS3 system at casuals/tournaments so I can hear the game I’m playing. Often at casuals/tournaments it’s so loud you can’t hear anything. I can’t seem to find a solution would not take too long to set up in a tournament setting.

There doesn’t seem to be any plug and play USB headsets that work for PS3/360. I have read some things about using an optical connection to certain headsets but I’m not sure if those work as plug and play. Any suggestions would be great.

Xbox definitely outputs to all audio outs at all times. Pretty sure ps3 does as well. Theoretically multiple sets of phones should be connectable even without splitters or sharing an amp - one off optical, other pulling from monitor over mini jack assuming hdmi connection.
