Standard 11x15 paper they had in the printer.
I originally ordered a 1/16, the changed my order to a 1/32. But now I’m worried the 1/32 will stick up too much. Anyone have more pics of the 1/32? Is it too late to change my order back?
if you get any intent on making plexi glass for the SE madcatz stick, pm me 1st thing asap!!! :chat:
How much would it cost me to ship one of these to The Netherlands?
I have a quick question to arthong : Is this plexiglass model also working for HRAP 2 SA ?
I have HRAP 3 and an HRAP 2 SA at home …
Whew, so much to do, so little time. Unfortunately I didn’t have a chance to make more on Sunday with so much else to do. But I’ve got almost 1/3 of the initial batch orders, so this should help clear out the workload for this upcoming weekend. I will start sending out Money requests later today.
Thanks ubetuff and nasirjones318 for the testimonials. Much appreciated :woot:
Again, if I haven’t responded to your emails/pm’s yet, it’s not that I’m ignoring you. I just haven’t had the time to properly address your inquiry. Will respond soon!
Also, if you’re interested in ordering, please email me with the instructions on my site: http://www.tek-innovations.com/arthobbies/orders.html
I find it difficult to try and manage order details and history through PMs.
Now to answer a few more questions I missed:
For those asking about the ETA to the production of the Next batch (after 3/28)
I’m afraid I can’t give you an absolute answer right this moment. I want to focus on getting this first batch out and take care of everyone before I commit to another load. After that, I’ll try to balance my upcoming weekends and determine a good date from there. You’ll get an announcement from me on this thread and my website, when that time comes. Thanks for your patience!
I agree that low profit can potentially push more work on me than I’ll be able to take, lol. But unless I’m creating my own artwork, I can’t really sell other ppl’s artwork for profit. What I’ve been doing tho, is helping ppl take orders to print at Kinkos as a favor. I’ve just asked like an extra 2 bucks for the gas and time. So for now, I’ll try to keep the costs and prices low as I can. I wasn’t sure how the demand would be but if it starts getting too much for me, I may have to increase pricing a little to keep the motivation going. And yes, I can cut only the first 6 holes for you. Email me with your order and details and I’ll include you in the next batch. Thanks!
I can’t say that vacumforming the SE panel would be the way to go. While v-forming is great for molding, some of the variables makes it more difficult for the panels. For one, the holes should be cut with the film on to minimize chances of scratches. But you need the film off to v-form. And assuming you v-form first, you have to also trim the sides off, which without the film or other methods of protection, increases scratch possibilities. Aside from that, I don’t have a v-former. It would be better for me to get a strip-heater for the purpose if I had to make/buy one. Thanks for the thought tho!
A few people were kind enough to help me post pics and direct to my site for the area to show you the amount of protrusion. I hope that helps answer your question. =). As for the beveling, I strongly urge you to reconsider, especially the 1/16 as they are very thin to begin with. Beveling to 45 deg would require a tool of great precision. The 3/32 or 1/8 would be better candidates. But even with those, you’ll need something with good precision. Unless you’ve successfully beveled plexi with a dremel before, you should consider a few things. Most likely, the dremel bit you’re going to use may end up burning the plexi, rather than trimming it. It definitely handles different than wood cutting. You might try the straight router bit for the dremel but even that is questionable. Other bits are likely going to burn it. And if you’re free-handing it will be very difficult to get a straight bevel especially with burn risks. But you might have powers beyond my comprehension to succeed in this task, so I won’t judge =). I would suggest to try the cover as is and see how it feels to you. I’ve had a bunch of people play with my sticks with various plexi thickness and no one has mentioned the protrusion as being anything noticeable, or distracting to gameplay =).
I think you might be able to help me answer that question. I don’t have a HRAP2 SA to compare to, but you do. How does it it compare to the HRAP 3 panel? Is the Turbo panel in the same place? I don’t have enough experience with the previous HRAPs to give an answer. I may need to do some more digging, but currently don’t have time to search through the forums. But I’m sure the answer is there. Please bear with me until I can find the time to concentrate on another version of the this plexi cover =).
Please email me with your plexi inquiry so that I may have a record of it and get back to you soon as I can =)
Ok, tis it for now. Responding to email/pm inquiries soon. Thanks again!
Bargain Plexi’s
Oh, and just another thought. Anyone here planning to have a plexiglass cover for the sole purpose of just protecting the original panel? Or plan to have a little rough-housing? I ask because I have a few plexi-covers that sustained some minor scratches or webbings that I don’t consider represents the quality of something I’d sell for full price.
Some of these covers suffered a little scratch or so, some so small that it’s barely noticeable, or in relatively inconspicuous areas, or very minor webbings that are easily hidden within your art. I can take pictures of them later and post in a “bargain bin” or something. I’m thinking about offering some of these for between $5 - $10 depending on how big the flaw is.
It would be good for people who might be a little more rough handling of their sticks and just want that extra layer of protection for their original panel, along with their art. And the couple I have with the webbing damage will barely be noticed on top of art.
Anyway, just throwing it out there to see if anyone’s interested and I’ll look into getting pictures for them. Thanks again for the support!
@ arthong :
thanks for your quick reply.
I took pictures of my HRAP 1 version A, my HRAP2 SA and my HRAP EX 360.
HRAP2 SA and HRAP EX 360 use the same template.
HRAP 1 version A is very different due to the way Hori put the buttons .
If you are curious, you will find these pictures + the template for HRAP 1 (PSP, not made by me) , inside a 7zip file, here :

I emailed you the pictures of the TE panel on sunday, really looks like it will be okay taking a second look at it. the little bump from underneath pretty much settled since I filed down the solder underneath. Toss me back an email whenever you get some time.
Are you sure? I ask this because the template for the HRAP2 doesn’t exactly fit the HRAP EX. It’s a turbo box issue.
Ok I measured with a meter for the turbo box : it’s the same for my HRAP 2 SA and my HRAP 3.
Please, if someone can double check in order to confirm or refute what I have checked, it will be great.
From my side, it seems that HORI took the same pattern for the HRAP 2SA and used it in order to built the HRAP 3.
Oh wow, that is nice quality.I will order a few of these when the hype dies down a little.
Is there a way to mount the joystick yet (specifically an LS-32)? I’d like to order one of these bad boys when possible.
Don’t suppose you’d be willing to swap the HRAP 2SA over to your 360EX to find out ;).
I’m still experimenting with that concept. When I have time I need to test a new mount method. I doubt I’d get around to that for a while. And I don’t have any LS-32’s to make an accurate mount for. I’ll have to play around with the JLF’s on the HRAP3 and HRAPEX first. When I have more conclusive findings I’ll post them. Thanks!

Hi !
right now , I don’t have the time (I’m at work…).
But check this Ebay offer made by a french guy :
http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230332316997&mfe=sidebar
He is selling plexi plates which can be used for HRAP 2 / RAP 2 SA / RAP 3 / RAP 3 SA / RAP EX / RAP EXSE…
I contacted him and he claimed that he already tried with different HRAP and it’s fitting…
Definitely would love to have one for the FS3 to do a totally clear top and line it with black lights.
I’m a bit interested. PM me or send me an email. I’m the guy with the same last name as you.

Oooh, interesting, there’s competition on Ebay. Lol… maybe I should post extras on ebay to see how they do.
But well, if you’re convinced then you can try my covers out. They fit HRAP3/EX perfectly so my knowledge on it is no more than yours on the subject. =)
