Just going to throw this out there, but wouldn’t making plexiglass for the SE cause a problem with the bend in the panel?
Technically, I have the means to bend plastic. I’ve made a strip heater before, loooooong time ago out of some ghetto parts. It worked ok for the purpose, but it was a pain in the ass to make cuz I’m not really that big of an electrical guy, and I’m always afraid I’d fry myself.
Anyway, that tool didn’t get a lot of use so it was dismantled and stored. I have no idea if it’s still around so I’d have to look. Not sure if it still works either =P. In the event I can’t find it, or it doesn’t work, I’d either have to make another one or actually buy one. A pro grade strip heater can go from $200 - a couple thousand, lol. So yeah… I’d try to make my own again. Although it’s a bit easier nowadays when you can just purchase the strip heater and build your own heating area. Still a bit of work.
Basically, it’ll end up being a lot of work to make an SE plexi. Still gotta think about it =)
Hey dude, I almost forgot (again) but here’s the pics I promised.
Here you can see me pushing the shaft all the way that it will go to the right. As you can see, it normally doesn’t even come in contact with the panel, and by a good margin. This is a 3/32" plexi and it still won’t come close to hinder your joystick movement. Hope this alleviates your concerns :wgrin:
Hey arthong, let me know whenever you decide to release the clear top panel that allows you to mount the joystick as well. It would be good if I can change the button layout to that of a HRAP2 style even though I just have a HRAP. By the way does the mounting allow for both Sanwa/Siemitsu?

Good News!
Good news guys! Well, for some of you guys.
Work was slow so got off early and picked me up a new batch of Plexi. Went at it for a few hours and got through almost half the stack. So probably by Sunday or Monday evening I will go down my list of orders and see who I can start sending money requests to and start shipping by mid week.
I wasn’t expecting to work on these this weekend, but really wanted to get a head start. Got a good amount of orders and I don’t want to delay anyone I made a promise to. Although maybe for those with custom cuts, you might have to give me one more day 
If you don’t get a money request from me by Tuesday evening, then I’m sorry I haven’t gotten to yours yet, but rest assured it will be done on the 3/28 weekend.

arthong - if you’d consider also making these available for the Hori Wii Stick/FS3/EX2 smaller sticks, I’d be interested in buying one of those.
I’d like to be put on your list for one of these HRAP ones, too. Question for you - is the 1/16" one thick enough so that it is a very visible protrusion on the top? I wonder how it would handle having the edges bevelled at a 45 degree angle with a dremel tool. My white Amazon HRAP3 has a couple scratches in the vinyl on top now due to wear and tear, and I’d be interested in one of these solely for a bit of extra protection.
I will totally buy one instantly if you can make one for a HRAP1, the same shape and layout as Trevor spencer’s pictures shown in his post.
Now my question is this. Do you simply provide the plexi covering only, or is this Artwork + Plexipanel combined?
Because if that be the case I will be a guaranteed customer in the future if HRAP1 templates become a reality.
As from what I’ve seen comparably to the HRAP1 / 2 and HRAP 3 / EX layouts, the turbo box and panel shape are pretty much identical, the only major difference would be the layout of the buttons.
I’m sure you could even use a base template for one of your current ones, and simply just make the cutout different for the button layout and it should work. (I hope)

Oh, and not all HRAPs are alike and I’m not talking about button layout. The turbo box on the HRAP EX isn’t in the same exact position.
I was the first order, so I managed to snag one of the ones arthong made before he started taking orders for his first production set. The packaging was very secure, and my package survived a cross-country trip.

What was funny is that I didn’t know what I was putting under the glass, so the artwork was a little short notice hence why the button color scheme doesn’t really go with it. Besides all that, I’m very pleased with the results. The plexiglass gives it a professional look and I definitely recommend any HRAP EX owner to get it if they’re looking to put some art on it.
Is your art printed on vinyl?
I was one of the first to order and I my plexi arrived today.
The packaging is excellent and protective. The plexi panel is in perfect condition.
Unfortunately I don’t have a HRAP yet. When I get one, I will post some pics of the mod.
