This is how I feel. I just don’t understand what is going on in that game. Maybe I’m too old :slight_smile:

I’m going to start X:Men COTA and Marvel Super Heroes mini gatherings at my place when I get my cabinet… that’s a marvel game that people like us can understand, because there’s just one character :). And hopefully it will be interesting for the MvC2 players too.

it does take a while to learn how to see marvel, but its not that bad after you’ve been playing for a bit.

Just wanted to say great post. It couldn’t have been stated better. Fundamentals
are really underrated, especially considering all of the eye candy that marvel has (infinites, unblockables, guard breaks, fast flys, unflys, reflys etc). It’s definitely easy to overlook the importance of basic defense, zoning, and trapping. But if a player can have both those fundamentals and mastery of advanced techniques, then marvel really does become like chess on crack.

i just recently got into playing marvel. want to get better/play more but i either get obliterated or im pretty confident ill win. most matches arent very close. i guess thats what i get for playing at gameworks

I started off as an SNK player mainly but now I don’t care either capcom or SNK, they both make mainly shitty games with a few gems every decade or so. But I can’t even play KOF XI, I fucking hate the way new games rely so much on godly execution (anyone who has seen me play knows my reflexes and execution are balls).

Make sure to alway call lots and lots of dogs and crows and do the tyrant super with Jill.

With sentinel, C.rh for two hits then HSF works wonders

With cammy, do cannon spike as much as possible for good damage and invincibility!!!

You should atleast play some casuals next time your there, I’d be glad to teach you some of the basics but I’m not the best person to learn from.
