His B1,2 is a good way to keep the enemy at bay. It’s hitbox is shit… but if you time it right you can catch SOME (read: two or three) opponents in mid-air and it’s the closest thing he has to AA besides catching someone with the clouds in mid-jump.
Other than that I defer to B2,3 and either knock them away to setup a dive kick or throw them for the damage. (Depending on if I want to throw a car or television at them or continue working my limited ground game.)
I’m amazed I’ve come so far so fast with Black Adam. In TTT2 I spent MONTHS in practice mode before ever going online. With Black Adam in this game I’ve been wrecking shop ever since I picked him. So he can’t be all that bad. (Although a dragon punch would be nice…)
For anyone who missed it, I remade the combo thread on TYM:
Everything there should be optimal or close, mostly need to figure out the best combination of damage/oki/meter for ending some of the midscreen combos.
Quick notes for Adam’s B1 which I’ve been using online. It’s +4 on block. Cancelled into trait offers additional frame advantage.
Basic frame trap is b1 > f2, 3
Cancelling B1 into trait on hit allows you to go for a cross up j2 since it pushes them back into the perfect position. Alternatively you can just go for a meter burned boot stomp in the front OR a cross up MB boot stomp.
b1 on block you can go for the same mixup with either instant air short boot stomp, or crossup short boot stomp.
