I will take a similar route with a couple other posters and say yes i want giants in mvc 3 if they are implemented properly. With that said, i am 100 percent sure that if we do see giants they wont be the way they were in tvc since mvc is 3v3 as opposed to 2v2. I think if they made particular characters like sent and juggernaut who could only have one teammate as opposed to 2 i think it would work better.
I just want character variety tbh.
EDIT: In fact now that i think of it, i give a hefty yes, giants are pretty much the way vs series grapplers should have been handled, zangief was far too slow to be played properly in mvc 2 and even early reports of mvc 3 say hulk is tough to win with. I think giants should stay although i support the notion that they would require some tweaking.
Agreed, there shouldn’t be any giants here. Good thing there won’t be.
No, grapplers shouldn’t be any thing like Giants at all(Hulk and Zangief aren’t giants anyway) and the whole point of the game is 3v3 matches. Anyway, they already confirmed there won’t be giants.
Even though I am a TvC fan, I am definitely glad giants won’t make an appearance in this game. In TvC, they were boring to play against and frustrating to play as. Characters with such a glaring weakness to runaway have no place in a Marvel game, where characters like Doom and Storm exist. Compared to MvC2, TvC’s runaway was weak.
As a comic book fan, I am willing to put aside my gripes with Sentinel’s side for the sake of good gameplay.
Im curious as to why exactly it is that people online find it hard to respect other peoples opinions? What i said is what i think and you disagreeing with me serves no purpose for it doesn’t convinces me to change my mind, if for example you came to me with a well constructed argument then i might have considered respecting and considering your opinion. I still think that giant characters are the direction capcom should go when handling grapplers seeing as how most(if not all) of them just sucked in mvc 2.
Rather than find a solution to a problem, just cut away the problem entirely and add it to the growing bonfire of “unique ideas we’re too lazy to implement properly” ? Brilliant.
