Ps tv would do even better if they gave it better options for controllers out of all the fightsticks ive got its only the one with the zd encoder
Well, I’ve gotten a lot of value out of other Sony devices others have deemed “worthless.” I even have two PSPgos because with the right stuff, it’s pretty great.
And for the few PSP games that won’t play on a PSTV, I’ll be counting on the PSPgo’s Bluetooth function with the AXISDapter from Toodles. But that’ll be way down the line. I want to customize my arcade stick yet further still…
For anyone with the ability to use arcade sticks on a PSTV and has a monitor rotated left for shmups, listen up!
I was playing Neo Geo Heroes: Ultimate Shooting with my stick and while it was already loads better than playing it on a PSP or Vita, I still couldn’t use the rotated screen mode because the controls weren’t also rotated.
Then I realized all I had to do was change the orientation of the lever itself! I got my spare LS-56 and unscrewed the mounting plate, then rotated so the 5 pins were pointing down. After screwing everything down, I put it in my arcade stick with the 5 pins pointing down (away from the turbo panel), and now everything works. The directions properly work in a rotated game now, and menus are still pretty easy to navigate too. On a screen rotated left, pressing left on the joystick would make the cursor go left on the rotated screen, where it’s actually going up. (Get it?)
There are also plenty of games on the Capcom Collections that let you rotate the screen mode but not the controls. No problem there either!
