I mean like, I got what you were saying, I’m not trying to be a dick about it, I just think that now that people are playing the game and a community can happen, it would be good if we got the naming stuff out of the way now so when new people come along they aren’t confused about seeing 30 different ways to say down+square.
Nah, you good fam. I didn’t think you were bein a dick. i get what your saying. I think your Tekken notation suggestion is a good one. It seems easy for the face buttons, but what about dodging, blocking and grabbing? I really wouldn’t know how to simplify notating those.
Well I don’t see why you would need to notate those. At the very least I could kinda see a notation for throw, but blocking and dodging isn’t necessary.
eyyyyyyaaaagh. Man, whatever hope I had for this game died after I played the beta.
is the “you can only invite 1 person” a beta thing?
Yes. They only have two game modes in the beta, free for all and 2v2. That’s why you can only invite one person, so you can make a 2 man team and that’s it.
Ok, I see. Just wish I could setup F4A through invites
you guys got any idea what to do with sweet tooth. he my favorite in the beta but i am having more luck with PaRappa since i learn a little of his combos. his level one seems good but his level 2 is ass and i can never build enough for his level 3.
So, with Radec, you can combo sniper to orb. So toss an orb and hit em with a sniper and they will fly into the orb. Just found this out 5 minutes ago. I am figuring out how to get around Kratos with Radec or Sweet Tooth. He is becoming more manageable. Sly is a problem though.
Land mines and moltov cocktails are great. I use Sweet Tooth the most. I would suggest using his dash in the air to cover ground quicker. but make good use of the land mines. Throw them just because people forget they are there.
I feel like sucha big man when I land Parappa’s level 3.
"YA GATTA BELIIIIIIEVE! everyone dies
yea it great but it more useful to just build up level 2 supers and kill everyone it seems. although i do love just building up to level 3 just so i can see it.
Level 2’s aren’t invincible. Parappa can be supered out of his skateboard, it’s tricky but possible.
I think the S, T, C notation is more intuitive. You can understand it by yourself, without asking someone what it means :china:
S, T, and C work nicely. We need something for throws but I guess that could be R. I’ll probably swap to numeric notation for directionals once the button notation is flushed out.
Edit : Dodge/block can be D, and everything else can be fairly conventional. Simplistic stuff seems like a good idea.
Radec’s lv2 seems invincible but the recovery is massive.
What’s the throw tech window? I’m curious.
Since I’m still a newbie at this and FFA being chaos, I have two stupid questions…
Do you block both directions, or should I face the attacker?
Can you air/ground dodge supers like the super-forms, Radec fps, Slys photo lvl 3 etc?
I just saw a sweet-tooth get a triple kill with his lv1. apparently the explosives attached to one player can hit all the rest. And it somehow did. This makes me unhappy.
Blocking is blocking. Like MK, there are no left/right mixups.
I know you can dodge the bullets from Kratos’ lv3, but it’s sort of hard. Apparently you can dodge Radec’s lv3 bullets too, but I’m not sure if there’s a way to dodge them all if they continue to focus on you.
Yep the TNT explosion is an AOE and, while it’s hard to get more than one, it is oh so satisfying. I got a triple kill off a dud Level 1 (sometimes the Level 1 trades but the TNT itself is still on the character and will still explode for a kill) once and got off his taunt.
HELLO BOYS AND GIRLS!
Also don’t think throws are techable (they’ve never been techable in any other build) but I don’t know for sure.
I got a lot of hatemail related to zoning with Radec earlier. It’s like people don’t understand how to counter zoning.
The lv1 trade is hilarious.
I’ve teched throws before, but I’m not quite sure what has to happen in order for it to work. Both characters need to throw at the same time? After getting thrown, you have a window to tech? Blah.
I don’t understand why, of all the stages, they chose to showcase the two that are mostly flat (Metropolis obviously less so) and long horizontally.
If they included a stage like Sandover Village/Dojo along with Metropolis/Hades people would complain much less about Radec and realize up close he has weaknesses and that stages can help certain matchups.
