I suppose, but really, there is no way they will have 3 Tekken characters as playable. No way at all. If they were a 1st party franchise, then I could maybe see it, but as a 3rd party brand, no way.

I guess those 2 being there might show that they are those assist trophy like things they had, if this isn’t all part of a joke. They could have gotten namco’s permission to use those models.

Well, with Ryu, I agree it seems odd. He’s more of and Xbox all star, since he appears there mostly. But I guess Team Ninja wanted in, and he is the most well known. Plus the Sigma games are PS exclusives

They already did, that’s where the Raiden,Dante, Sackboy, Spike, Sir Dan, etc. leak came from.

It was? The original SRK article mentioned nothing about the info being obtained by data mining.

Well that’s where it came from. I think NeoGAF even had the code posted that leaked Capture the Flag and all the other game modes.

Well if I’m reading this article correctly, the NDA on the beta ended Wednesday.

Good enough for me.

The game is really fun. It obviously feels similar to smash in most aspects but certainly plays its own game. You can only play FFA in the beta at the moment, which makes it hard to get into the meat of the game but there are still plenty of mechanics to explore. Most people are pretty bad at the game at this time. Hardly anyone blocks (blocking is really good), hardly anyone throws (throwing is really good) mostly people just spam and get rolled.

Kratos - Combo heavy character. His air side-triangle is a multi hit downward angle that when done close enough to the ground combos into pretty much any ground combo including level 1 super if spaced right. Has fox like laser spam (no hit stun, builds tiny meter, spammable). Can stay in the air for a long time if needed, like when trying to evade chicken or Parappa skateboard. His level 2 is pretty bad but situational. His level 3 install can score upwards to 6 kills if on the right level. Side triangle is a running spear that blocks projectiles during the run. Down circle is a counter, haven’t seen it used yet.

Sweet Tooth - Hardly any combos, more focused on hard hitting one shot moves. Side square is a Wario shoulder ram (is unsafe on block, but no one blocks in the beta). Side triangle is a shotgun that blasts away nice for keeping someone in the corner. Air down triangle causes hard knock down for wake up chase. Has an assortment of projectiles. Down circle land mine (only one out at a time). Neutral circle throws Molotov, leaves fire carpet on the ground causes no hit stun. His level 1 is really cheap (3-4 shoulder rams will get you level 1) but near impossible to combo into. Down+square causes crumple but is highly unsafe. Level 2 super is terrible. Level 3 can rack up 6 kills like Kratos if in the right position.

Sly Cooper - Annoying as shit. No one blocks his electric ball roll so he builds tons of meter with it. He can steal meter from people if he attacks out of stealth. Can’t block at all. Has no roll either, he teleports a short distance. Can hop in a barrel that blocks projectiles and he can move around in it slowly. He can hop out of the barrel and it explodes. Can set an alarm clock trap that stuns > super. Level 1 super is about the same range as Kratos’ but Sly stays in place. Level 2 is like Diddy’s final smash easy to avoid on some levels, near impossible on others. Level 3 literally breaks the game when used (the camera remains in Sly’s control after its over and won’t go back unless he’s killed) and even if it didn’t break the game it is really good. Nearly impossible to avoid.

Radec - Also really annoying in FFA. Hardly any combos. People don’t know how to block so he gets a ton of meter for free. Hit stun is longer than block stun on his standing triangle so he spams it and people get hit by it over and over… His standing circle is very good. Shoots a projectile, wherever it lands it leaves a grenade that detonates a few seconds later. If you hit a player with it it also leaves a grenade on them. Can spam ground bouncing nades like Snake. Has a Cable stasis grenade and an upwards angle “stun beam” thing. His level 1 is easy to dodge if you see it coming. Level 2 covers an entire horizonal line (invulnerable while using it, except maybe for supers?). Level 3 is like Sly’s, very hard to dodge, stage doesn’t matter.

Fat Princess - Haven’t played around with her much. Has a good amount of combos. Air down square is a butt slam with a large radius that crumples. Has a lot of detached hit boxes with her minion summoning. Level 1 super is like Kratos’ but goes a set distance and I don’t think she can be hit out of it (could be wrong). Haven’t played around with her enough to know if it’s comboable but it should be. Level 2 she rides on a chicken for what feels like 5 minutes and she gains higher jumps and a dash. Can easily get as many kills as a Level 3 Kratos/Sweet Tooth. Level 3 is like Pit’s and is completely random and chaotic. I have only seen this super done once, and it only got 1 kill because of the stage and randomness.

Parappa - Highly combo reliant like Kratos. Small character VERY short range attacks. Hard to use properly in FFA because his combos keep people locked in place, anyone you’re not combing can knock you out of it easy. Has a lot of mobility with air side square kick and air side triangle which flies downward at an angle with a lot of speed. Down cirlce summons boombox that generates meter balls that people can pick up. Hard to use in FFA but seems like it would be super good in teams. Level 1 super is a flash kick. Short range, hits fairly high up, very easy to combo into. Standing circle is a mic leash that pulls them into you for a guaranteed (I think) super. Level 2 is kind of like Fat’s chicken but you are constantly moving and can’t jump straight up like she can. Also doesn’t last nearly as long. Level 3 is a one shot screen clear that makes old school PS fans happy.

If anyone wants me to test anything out or want to know more about something I can try to answer questions. Not sure how much people care or what they care about.

Playing with Fat Princess and Sly some more.

Fat P - Her summoned minions come out on button press and have no start up from the Princess herself. She’s free to move and attack while the minion comes out and do their assist attack. You can even summon them during other attacks. She has drill kick move that is nice for starting combos. She has quite a lot of mobility with her move set.

Sly - He has a crazy amount of mobility. Down + triangle is his teleport not his air dodge, my mistake. Holding L1 in the air just makes you invisible just like on the ground. He has multiple air moves that dash him in various directions including a Raikousen. His standing Square attacks steal meter whether you’re stealthed or not. I think you steal more if you were stealthed? Not sure what other moves steal meter, I think just his standing squares. Standing triangle throws out alarm clock trap that seems overpowered to me. Stuns for a long time, plenty for a free level 1 super.

I may be seeing things, or it may be lag or bugs or something but I swear I’m able to roll out of block stun against some moves like Parappa’s combo. Wish I could go to training mode…

Have you seen yet how different Lvl3 Supers interact with other? Like, for example, if Kratos or Sweet Tooth are transformed in their Lvl3s, is Big Daddy’s Lvl3 still able to freeze/kill them … or are they invulnerable while transformed? It would be cool to see certain Supers working as “counters” to others.
