This guy knows whats up, if Chun Li or whoever dumb character got in over Nariko I’d not be pleased.
Why would you want the Heavenly Sword chick? You dudes are huge cockknockers. If anything this game needs more of that actual PS all star stuff like the robot Rabbit from Jumping Flash and Spyro, maybe the dude from Silent Filter.
This game also needs an Intelligent Qube stage. Fuck a Primal in the eye.
lol the difference being that Fat princess is from a much more recent game, the others a character from a lengendary game much more famous, and Sony’s Japanese mascot is the last one.
Your nigga Dart chances are FAR worse when you put context and logic to work.
How bout Croc, from Croc: Legend of the Gobbos? Anyone played that? No?
Well… How bout the chick from Parasite Eve… That’s a PS only series right.
Maybe the whatever-it-is from Journey.
A Colossus?
A Wipeout stage?
^ Mentioning Dart and bolding “FAR” made my mind read “fart” when skimming
Legend of the Dragoon is a legendary game. One the best RPGs of the era. It didn’t have the benefit of getting a sequel or a spin-off like PaRappa did. Game still got a loyal following. What good does having the Japanese mascot do when the game got no Japanese release date?
Hey man you’ll get no argument from me there, Toro is a stupid ass character imo. Personally I’d prefer characters like Dart but come on these random jrpg’s are not in the same realm as a Parappa in terms of following or popularity even if it did get a sequel. Parappa was like the start of new school music games.
This game isn’t marketed towards people who would remember something like Dart so posting vids here is pointless. You want him in? Post that to Superbot’s Twitter or something.
Yea it is. The game is gonna celebrate all things Playstation. Legend of the Dragoon is a Sony property so he fits the bill. Using that logic, Game n Watch, Ice Climbers, Marth, Pit and R.O.B shouldn’t have been in Smash Bros since most people won’t know who they are (In Marth’s case some people actually thought he debut in Smash).
This game celebrates the best of playstation which means best characters. Characters that are currently sony’s big names, characters that are known to sell many units, and characters that are a part of their future plans.
Dart are none of those things and we all know Sony has a very different way of handling characters than Nintendo and the team making this game are VERY different from the Smash team so bringing up that means nothing.
Your just arguing to argue now i feel.
Fat Princess is not a big name, does not sell units, and probably does not have a great future ahead of her. Same goes for Toro, who literally only got in for being a Japanese rep for Sony which means absolutely nothing outside of Japan, and Big Daddy and Heihachi aren’t even Sony exclusive characters and they STILL got in. And considering you aren’t on the Superbot team I’d say you have no right to say how they think, how they handle things, or tell people they’re wrong for having an opinion.
I’m not even saying Dart has a good chance of getting in, just that the reasons you’re listing for why he will never be in are dumb. If anyone is arguing just to argue, it’s you. This entire argument started because you felt the need to make a crack at someone for simply wanting a character in a video game that is in essence a tribute to Sony’s history. No one said anything definitive, he just said “I’d like if this character got in,” and you had to make a snarky remark. Every post after that really just seems like you’re trying to defend being an asshole to someone for no good reason and it’s ridiculous.
The game celebrates Playstation as a whole. “Best” is subjective.
Shows how much you know. Legend of the Dragoon sold over 1 million copies. Every successful at the time of it’s release. They really don’t considering that Fat Princess, PaRappa and Toro is in their playable roster. Despite the fact that Fat Princess is a relatively recent title doesn’t help that most gamers interested in this game didn’t know who she was until she appeared in this game. PaRappa hasn’t been relevant in years and one region where Toro is popular won’t be getting the game. That’s just those three. You got Patapons on the God of War stage and anyone not into the PSP scene won’t know what they are. Popularity power obviously is not the primary factor in what make it into this game.
I always wanted to play Dragoon. Sorry I didn’t reconize the characters.
But please people, don’t attack other people for what they want/think will be in the game. Honestly, we don’t even know how many characters are going to be in. I say every character has a shot. Wether the developers put them in though is a different story. Right now they seem to be focusing on American known people. If they show this at the Tokyo game show, maybe will will see a bunch of RPG characters.
Yeah I got tired of this argument a while ago. I’ve already said Toro has no place in this game and only got in because he’s Sony’s mascot and the only reason I defended Fat Princess is because Hawk tried to pretend Dart was just as obscure as she is when her game is much more recently.
I really don’t care as much but thank you for helping me pass time while I wait on someone. I’ll laugh my ass off if some random PS1 era no name gets in at the TGS.
So, it seems the people on NeoGaf have found some images that may be Kat from Gravity Rush. Also it seems Ape escape has a stage.
There is a video showing it. Yes, it is blurry as all hell, and you may only see what you want to see… but It would make sense to put her in. Her game is the biggest one on the Vita, and she is a brand new IP that they want to use more of. Perfect place is to put her here.
Did they ever give us a confirmed roster count?
I don’t remember anything about a roster count. The only thing I remember hearing in regards to the roster is that there will be more than 2 females. Not very specific, but hey. Also, Kat could be interesting. Seems like she’ll have a lot of juggle potential what with all those flippy backflip kicky moves she has, plus being able to mess with gravity would be interesting.
Heihachi vs Toro Rival cutscene.

Haha, oh god that was great. Is this the only rival scene out so far?
Interesting. That blue stage appears to be this game’s equivalent of Final Destination.
I saw somewhere that people are receiving beta codes in North America.
Doesn’t look like it’s available for Japan and damn if I know how to set up a Hong Kong or Singapore PSN account. Guess North America will have to wait till August to try it. Kinda sad it sounds like there’s no Heihachi in it though.
