Great to hear from Seth. Never met him in person, but he always seemed like a nice guy. Great to see him moving up in the world, even if it’s for a new company.

Played at evo and thought the fact only supers can kill is kinda stupid. Some supers seemed comboable though people might have just sucked, but there were definitely multi-move combo’s for characters like kratos whose every move launches for whatever reason.
Only got to play a few stages and all had walls so wasn’t able to see if there was a gimp game or how that would work. Game seemed pretty lackluster.

I rented it and I enjoyed it. Sure, it’s not the best thing every, but I enjoyed myself.
The lack of Online play really hurts the long termness of it. But the story mode was cheesey fun, even having the PPG announcer voicing it.
Plus it has Johnny fing Bravo in it.

Yeah, that is a shame. However, they said when/if they make another one, there will be online. They wanted to judge the reception of this game before they put the money down for servers for the game.
I actually held a local tournament for this game. Was mad crazy fun.
Lack of online is a shame, but it’s great with groups of 4+. Especially anyone who grew up with (or still watches) any of the shows repped.

I would have loved to go to a tourny with this game. I can’t remember who I mained though… one of the PPG I think… god I need to pick this game up.

I enjoyed it. It was fun and a blast to play. I hated how you unlocked characters though. Worst. Idea. Ever.
Game felt WAY too floaty for me. Just did not like the way the characters moved at all. And yeah, unlocking characters was a huge hassle.
Now, Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars, on the other hand - I consider them better than Melee.
Most of the people in the tourney used Aku. I personally went with Billy & Mandy, and my partner used Captain Planet.
Yeah, it was a 2v2 tournament. In a game that didn’t even support 2v2 - which made it even more hilarious when people would accidentally kill their own teammates.
I do want to play the jump stars games. they looked really fun.
Hahah, thats great. Aku did seem pretty broken in story mode. I mainly played as Johnny and Bubbles.
