Agree with d3v. I don’t think we’ve EVER seen a tested lagless adapter in the history of video games.
Go ahead and waste $40+ of your money…you’ll be back.
Modders are cooler
Adapters are dick

If it has the same issues as the old version, there are several problems with it, ON TOP of the easy macros.
Just wait, early next year when TO’s (continue to) ban these all the people flocking to them are going to be pissed that they aren’t able to use what they’ve been using at home.
Best slogan ever since
Six buttons are cool right buttons are dick
and because dremel
Seriously though, if the Cronus is doing Macros now, I see more tournaments banning the device. Macros are the steroids of the FGC
Man this Cronus Max sounds more and more like a scam the more I look into it…
First off, I said $200 because someone linked amazon which had the max listed at $200
Secondly, why is the max hosted on a separate site?
Here’s the cronus site… (also note that this site is filled with broken links) …but why is this on a separate domain?
I guess they’re scrapping their first site or something, they’ve also stopped filling out orders on their own site. So I’m very suspicious of this whole ordeal.
As far as their input lag test goes I’m not convinced, it looks really good when there’s only one input, but how do we know there isn’t an issue when tons of input commands are sent to the console? If someone wanted to definitively prove the cronus we’d need dojo mode with the input shown + someone to mash out a pre-defined string of inputs.
There have been so many stories about how the cronus is terrible, and there’s a reason nobody was using them instead of PS360+ and other dualmodded PCBs.
Too much of this discussion is just “but it’s so cheap and it works, look at the youtube video!” and people get super mad when I question the legitimacy of this device. People who refuse to do any research beyond “I heard that it works for xbone + ps4”
Shake. My. Head.
I am actually hoping Microsoft and or Sony sends a cease and desist letter to the Cronus peoples.
I sure Cronus support of the PS3 and Xbox 360 was ignored as the Xbone and PS4 was in development.
I own the previous Cronus just so my friend can play with my on my PS3 and only 2 months later a firmware update did something to the cronus where only the left input works… after that they never updated that thing ever again. POS that thing was…
Also I should mention that their website magically removed the forums saying it was under construction, and now it’s completely gone.
I might as well learn how to padhack, seems like a much better way to go.
No lag less converters? Afaik the etokki ones were (inpin and the 360 one)
Weren’t those proven to lag?
I thought they were proven to barely lag similar to the latency from an EVO monitor 7-12ms. Obviously stacking latency won’t help. Prob a conversation for a different time/topic but they were better than any other adapter.
Oh right yeah, I was mistaken for another set, yeah ps2 to 360era was “fine” but I don’t have any hope for ps3 or 360 up to the bone-our (get it bone + four - f) era because ps360 adapters weren’t a thing.
USB too complicated perhaps
To be completely honest, I’d much rather just buy a new model mad catz fightstick for the ps4. I’m just waiting for it to be announced and released.
To be completely honest, some comments should be keep to your self.
Alot of people share your opinion, but at this juncture unless you have news of a commercial PS4 stick, there nothing left to be said here.
I;m not saying this to be an asshole, I swear, but you don’t know anything about business or how the movement of capital works. It shows on how you write. Start a business of your own, make friends with pepole who run businesses. See how this stuff works from the inside. You will be amazed to learn what you don’t know. After running a business for a couple of years, then get a business degree (trust me it makes more sense once you do it first in real life then learn how you fucked up later)
Hopefully I don’t get castrated for reviving an old thread, but I’m curious if the status has changed on compatibility recently.
With Madcatz reveal today that they are making a Ps3/Ps4 stick (with a slider toggle to select your system) the question is if the developer side of things is now dead? I’m not going to hold out for Arcsys to keep the dream alive.
If anything, I was saving to buy a KI TE2 (assuming I’m un-successful in getting/modding Crossbone), but I’m thinking I’ll just get an USF4 TE2 Sony version instead. I really want a stick for GGXrd!
Actually, I’m guessing that from this point moving forward, all peripherals for Sony consoles will be for both PS3 and PS4.
At this point in time, considering the transition we’re going through, it’s INSANE to try to sell a $100+ PS3 controller that ISN’T upwardly compatible with the PS4!
For crying out loud, Sony threw PS3 owners a bone by making the DS4 backwards compatible with the PS3! That kind of thing hasn’t happened much in the past. MS, for one, doesn’t give a hoot about the customer relations aspect of expensive peripherals and have screwed XBox owners through the past two generations of their consoles.
I’m on the fence about buying new PS3 controllers. Sure, this or that joystick might look nice but in the end I kind of want to save some money, too, and not end up with a controller that’s only useful on one system. I’ve been through that game once or twice with some otherwise nice controllers… I was never that happy with the fact that Hori’s PS2 FlightStick 2 didn’t work with any of the PS3 flight sim/dogfight titles including the very late Ace Combat title that showed up on PS3. On top of that, Hori took their sweet time coming up with an official PS3 Flight Stick that DID work with most PS3 flight sims!
As MS demonstrated very well, USB does NOT mean the controller will work with every system or personal computer that actually has USB ports.
It may be a moot point… nobody knows if the new gen systems really are the last of the game console dinosaurs. We’ve got one, perhaps two, hardware manufacturers ready to throw in the towel at the end of the day.
just wanted to see if there was an update on this. I saw there was a Razer Atrox released for Xbox One at EVO this year, I’m curious how easy/possible it would be to mod that to work with a 360/PS3/PS4. I’m shopping around for a new one, but I dont want to dump $200 on a stick only to have to buy another one in 6 months.
It’s common ground unlike the MadCatz TE2 so currently everything will be easy aside from PS4.
We need quad mod sticks–Xbone, 360, PS3, PS4 before GG Xrd gets here
