Playstation 2 is better

I don’t understand or maybe it’s another odd bug.
One of the first thing i did was to record a Ken dummy doing SA3 to test if red parrying is easier than on emul (which it should be if oe speed is close to arcade).
I launched replay, tried to red parry : it works, nice.
Pushed the state button (thinking about it now, it may not be the start button) and tried again, and again and again, like about 10times in 1 min.
From what you wrote, it seems you’re not able to do this at all?

Sounds like people are more angry that CAPCOM promised something that they decided to deliver through patches instead. As for buying an arcade cabinet, I wonder how much longer CPS-3 boards will last.

I didn’t and still don’t look at this release as the “resurrection” of 3S. 3S has always been around, and the people who appreciate it have played it up to this point, and they will play it beyond this hiccup. I see the 3S re-release as, hopefully, a way to play all of you guys on the West Coast & in Texas. I’ve spent my time grinding out against newbies the past 2-3 years, and I want to play against people who don’t instinctively resort to online-tactics. I still need to learn the next level, but playing against most of the local people won’t work.

There is one other person for me to play here, but he is leagues ahead of me. I need to play against more styles and such. I’ve played against him so often, that I can’t learn anything anymore unless I play against other perspectives. 3SO was, still is I guess, my hope to play against those other perspectives. I’ll bear with the “ugliness” and sacrifice aesthetics to hopefully play better people.

That being said, I don’t like how CAPCOM went with this game. In their effort to lure so many new players flash and colorful flowers, they’ve alienated a lot of the players who kept the game a live.

I’ll have to agree with the opinion that ARCADE PERFECT = ARCADE PERFECT.
Meaning, ARCADE PERFECT =/= removing the experience of the original look & sounds & even color options. But, I might sacrifice those if they will concentrate on the core of the game first. I’m more PISSED that they spent time and resources on frivolous things before extensively testing how the game should be offline . . .

If I recall correctly when being asked about a possible rebalance of the characters, either Derek Neal or Seth Killian referred to 3S’ gameplay as the “Mona Lisa that shouldn’t be changed.” I agree, but I also feel that way towards the rest of the game.

I’m no purist, and I’m not a 3S god player like Ryan (when you going back to Japan?), but 3SOnline is the only good reason I’ve had these passed few years to consider buying a next-gen system. From what I’ve seen and from what I’ve read, a new version of 3S that doesn’t work isn’t worth it.

As long as people take care of them? Capcom still services them I believe. Beyond that some people know how also so that’s really not an issue. The game will be around as long as people want it to be around.

But I think we all wanted this to be the portable home version to use for casual stuff and training/experimenting on something that runs like a cps3 setup. Can still get that maybe with patches.

Way off base. If the OP had acted on the first page like he did on the 3rd page and not made a really embarrassing, childish avatar, then there’s really no problem with anything he’s said. He could react ten times harder, even, but acting in that way is ridiculous. Brah.

Are you refering to the Parry Training mode? That’s different from the Normal Training, in which you can only record yourself doing stuff and use the save state. I was talking about the normal training all the time.

I agree that Capcom will do whatever needed to fix any issues! Im enjoying the game right now! Im just happy to be playing 3rd strike! Online issues are gonna be patched soon.

Capcom was just the publisher for the game, they didn’t make it. Nobody blames Konami for a bad Metal Gear, fingers always point to Kojima productions (there is no bad Metal Gear… well I guess ac!d kind of sucked), anyway I think the same should be said for “Iron Galaxy”. I understand that there’s a budget for an Arcade title and that things simply cannot be done in time with such budget, but that’s when Capcom needs to say… “Hey you know what guys? Let us do some extensive tests on some lagless TV’s with some people that actually know 3s, if it turns out that its truly arcade perfect then lets move on and have your QA work on some online stuff.”

le sigh. fuck everybody -_- … just fix the damn game and get it over with.

Ouch. That is bad.

  1. they need to give us an option to remove the trials or whatever on the side of the screen during the match.

  2. I play on an asus monitor, arcade cabinet setting, crisp, wirh scan lines on. i also adjusted the width and length of the display area to make it as close to perfect as possible. ive also had some flawless connections but the online experience is still ass.

  3. it’s not arcade perfect, the online is not good. and capcom dropped the ball. there are sounds issues, and OFFLINE gameplay issues also. i love third strike and the promises and expectations that Capcom gave us did not live up to the hype. I test shit for the stock exchange and internally for my firm every weekend and if i signed off on an end product like this they’d kill me…then fire me

im grateful we got 3s on next gen put they need to patch/fix this shit. ALOT OF US TOLD CAPCOM AT EVO ABOUT SOME OF THESE ISSUES. They should have gotten 3S purists to test this shit on a damn CRT or a lagless hd monitor. they will fix it but they gotta eat this intital bad review from players who love the game.

trailers, interviews and promotions dont mean shit if you dont satisfy the customer and the fan base with the end product. bad enough i gotta live in the fanboy, soft serve era of fighting games but now u give me a less than perfect “PROMISED” version of 3s that i paid for? cmon son. hook me up wit dat perfect 3s lol

I enjoy broken bases, they raise my sodium levels

But I found it kinda funny that my post here got some likes, sure irrevelant but seeing how this topic is going well…

Here’s a couple of reason why people get really bad lags on 3SOE

  1. Playing people from a long distance ( other side of US, country, and ect.)

  2. Playing people with bad internet connection ( slow internet, downloading crap, and ect.)

Solutions

  1. Show player location status

  2. Show Ping number

Player can decide to play that person or not depending on their status.
